Damnation (Xbox 360)
I am getting so sick of tired of all these games that looked good a few years ago and now they are at the bottom of the sea. Damnation really is as bad as everyone is saying. The only thing I am going to say to finish off this review is one simple sentence.

PS3 Review: Damnation
If you haven't worked it out by now, Damnation is a terrible game. It lacks anything memorable, it isn't fun to play and it feels unfinished. Let's hope this bad trend doesn't continue any further…

Damnation
It was bound to happen, but I never imagined my first two big letdowns of 2009 would hit nearly back to back-nor that Sacred 2 or Damnation would be among them, two games I had very high hopes for.

Damnation
Damnation is a shooting / climbing game given a steampunk twist that is set around the time of an American civil war, where oddly, both sides lost and a military industrial company, PSI, have risen to power instead (they're the baddies).

30 Reviews in 30 Days, Day 8 – Damnation
So, we are through the first week of the 30 Reviews in 3o Days . I have to say this has been a lot of fun so far, even though it is a lot of work. Before I get into the new week and featured review, let's take a look back at the reviews from last week:

I honestly enjoy playing this game. It's obvious it's poor, and not at all what was expected but i still find it genuinly entertaining. Granted that's playing with a mate and not taking a blind bit of notice of the story line, and creating our own voice overs.

Not great, but good shooter. Good game for a nice low price.

Hoped for the best, got the worst
In two words: total Crap! Damnation is a fine example of a well conceived-on-paper game, with a good steampunk storyline to back it all up, which was completely ruined when implemented on code. So many good things were expected, none of them are given.
Pros:
- There are only a very few things that I liked in Damnation: the cover artwork
- the story and the design of the weapons and a few vehicles and other elements
Cons:
- Here are the so many bad news: I'll begin from my most familiar aspect, being the graphics
- The game was released in May of 2009, but it's graphics certainly make it look like it's at the least a couple of years old!

Damnation
So, though still far from perfect (or particularly pleasurable, come to that), it's the platforming elements of Damnation that are – surprisingly, in fact – the game's highlight. But when they're the best part of an otherwise broken game, what does it matter?
