Damnation
So, though still far from perfect (or particularly pleasurable, come to that), it's the platforming elements of Damnation that are – surprisingly, in fact – the game's highlight. But when they're the best part of an otherwise broken game, what does it matter?

Damnation (Xbox 360)
I am getting so sick of tired of all these games that looked good a few years ago and now they are at the bottom of the sea. Damnation really is as bad as everyone is saying. The only thing I am going to say to finish off this review is one simple sentence.

Damnation Review
It seems the thought process behind Damnation was something along the lines of: Gears is a good game, let's do a Gear knock off, but our USP will be a Tomb Raider platform mechanic.

PS3 Review: Damnation
If you haven't worked it out by now, Damnation is a terrible game. It lacks anything memorable, it isn't fun to play and it feels unfinished. Let's hope this bad trend doesn't continue any further…

Damnation
It was bound to happen, but I never imagined my first two big letdowns of 2009 would hit nearly back to back-nor that Sacred 2 or Damnation would be among them, two games I had very high hopes for.

This third-person shooter is a trip into hell.
Damnation's biggest accomplishment is making steampunk look bad. Even the usually cool mashing up of fantasy and sci-fi can't save developer Blue Omega Entertainment's mess of a third-person shooter.
Pros:
- Out-of-the-ordinary steampunk story and setting
- Some of the leaping-around acrobatics can be mildly amusing
Cons:
- Mindless combat
- Shooting-gallery enemy AI
- Annoying frame rate hitches and visual bugs
- Abysmal voice acting
- Grating weapon sound effects

Damnation
Damnation is a shooting / climbing game given a steampunk twist that is set around the time of an American civil war, where oddly, both sides lost and a military industrial company, PSI, have risen to power instead (they're the baddies).
