DJI Mavic Pro

DJI must be cock-a-hoop following news that GoPro is recalling all Karma Drone units already sold. The Karma had put DJI's very own folding drone - the DJI Mavic Pro - firmly in the shade, and I for one couldn't wait to lay my hands on one. Well, it looks like I had a lucky escape.

It's soo tiny, the box it came is is the same size as an iPad, just a tad thicker. Build quality is very solid, the UAV and the remote, it feels like it's worth 1.5k.

DJI hasn’t made any sacrifices to shrink the Mavic down to a size you really can take anywhere. In fact, it’s got more tech than you’ll find in the Phantom 4. Those folding arms work a treat, and the matching compact controller is brilliant too. It's a lot more compact than GoPro's Karma drone, and has more smart flight modes to boot. The Karma's removable gimbal admittedly makes it more flexible on the ground, but I’ve no doubt the Mavic has the edge in the air. Yes, the Mavic is expensive, but when it’s just about manoeuvrable enough for racing, takes fantastic photos and videos, and is simple enough to fly that even a total novice can do it without having to worry about crashing, it really does tick every box. DJI Mavic Pro review review

This is my first real drone, and I want sure what to expect. When I got it, it was much smaller than I thought! It folds into a compact package and is quick to make ready to fly. Footage is very smooth and unique. The only downside is editing it all into something cohesive!

Many buyers of the Mavic Pro have written and explained what a great drone this is. I won't repeat any of that. Instead do this to get the most use and enjoyment out of this fantastic piece of technology.

What a thrill!

The Mavic is a great drone whether your are a beginner or expert pilot. It is small and compact which makes it a breeze to transport to any location. The camera takes great photos and video up to 4k. The seller is awesome and I would recommend buying from them.

Mavic Pro

I've had other makes of quadcopters in the past and really liked the look of this new DJI Mavic. It's so compact and easy to carry around it's performance is amazing by far the best drone I have ever had or flown. Yes it's very pricey but worth every penny.
