DJI Mavic 2 Pro

The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is not only a world class flying machine...it is also one of the world's best drones for aerial photography.

Iconic images

Did you know the first moon landing was captured ona Hasselblad camera?The Swedish camera giants lend their famous name to the DJI Mavic 2 Pro, in the shape of the all-new L1D-20c camera. The L1D-20c possesses Hasselblad's unique Natural Colour Solution technology, and captures 20-megapixel aerial shots in incredible detail.

4k quality footage

Thanks to 4K 10-bit HDR support, the Mavic 2 Pro can be plugged into a 4K TV with HLG. The brighter highlights and greater contrast you expect from HDR video are used to full effect here.

Timeless time-lapse

Time-lapse is a stunning visual effect and condenses footage into viewer-friendly segments. The DJI Mavic 2 Pro makes it easy to put this effect into place with the Hyperlapse feature.

Improved aerodynamic design for better footage

While there is much talk about the amazing Hasselblad camera, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro also boasts improved aerodynamic design. This provides for a smoother flight, a key factor in optimising the quality of still and video footage. The DJI Mavic 2 Pro flies as smooth a path as any machine of a similar price point.

More efficient, more flying time

A new propeller design adds to the efficiency allowing for longer flight times, and more opportunities to capture footage as a result. Expect a maximum flight time of 31 minutes at 25kph (no wind) and a maximum distance of 18 kilometres at a consistent 50kph (no wind).

Great!

I bought this drone specifically for the still picture quality. So far I'm pretty impressed. It's no replacement for a regular camera but it's a big improvement from the older models. Very intuitive to operate and the battery holds for a solid 20 minutes.

Amazing customer service

My item was shipped with wrong address. They fixed it on the phone with UPS and allowed me to pick it up at customer service center.

DJI Mavic 2 Pro MAVIC2-PRO review

DJI Mavic 2 Pro MAVIC2-PRO review

At launch, the Mavic Pro had stiff competition from the GoPro Karma Drone and it looked set to be a colossal battle between the giants. In the end, the Karma crashed out and didn’t really make it past the starting line, while the Mavic Pro became a soaring success. Now there’s the Mavic 2 Pro.

Compact size; Intelligent flight modes; Hasselblad camera

I need one; It costs £1299

DJI Mavic 2 Pro review

This feels like a drone with no real weaknesses. Yes, it’s not as small or affordable as the Mavic Air, but we feel that the battery life, safety features and image quality more than make up for that. If you’re in the market for a compact drone that flies and films like a dream, and you’re willing to pay a premium for it, the Mavic 2 Pro should be top of your wish list

Excellent image quality; Long battery life; Safe, quiet, nimble flight; Compact design;

Slightly janky app;

DJI Mavic 2 Pro, Mavic 2 Zoom add Hasselblad quality and optical zoom to folding drones

DJI's bringing the Mavic Pro back, and it has a friend.

More of everything, but still ready to travel anywhere.

DJI Mavic 2 Pro Review

DJI's Mavic family has all but replaced its Phantom series for consumer drone use. Mavic drones are smaller all around, and foldable for easier storage and transport. The top-end model, the Mavic 2 Pro ($1,729), has the largest image sensor we've seen in a drone this size. That means images and video both look better than other drones, including the Pro's near twin sibling, the Mavic 2 Zoom. The Pro is a little more expensive, by $250, but we think the step up in image and video quality is worth the added cost. The Mavic 2 Pro is the best drone for enthusiast pilots, and our Editors' Choice. The Best Folding Drone The Mavic 2 Pro takes its design cues from the original Mavic Pro, but is a little bigger all around. It measures 3.3 by 3.6 by 8.4 inches (HWD) folded and 3.3 by 9.5 by 12.7 inches with it arms extended. Unfolding the drone is pretty easy, you just have to remember to swing the front arms out before the bottom ones. The aircraft weighs about 2 pounds, heavy enough to re...

The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is the best small drone on the market, with superior image and video quality, obstacle avoidance, and excellent battery life.

Superlative 4K video; 20MP Raw and JPG still imaging; Great battery life; Compact, foldable design; Obstacle avoidance sensors

8GB internal memory isn't much; No DCI format support; Expensive

DJI Mavic 2 Pro review: These glorious heights

There are few out there who’d dispute the reality that DJI make the best drones consumers can realistically buy.

Make no mistake, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro is definitely a drone worth getting hyped up about. But unless you’re a diehard, it’s difficult to say whether it’s going to be worth grabbing on day one at full price.

Maneuvers are really powerful tools; Long flight time;

Doesn't feel like a major upgrade over last-gen; Expensive;

DJI Mavic 2 Pro review: High-tech drone gets Hasselblad high-five

There's a very good reason why DJI is the market leader of drones: its combination of high-tech features, flight modes and video/image qualit is an unbeatable combination. With the Mavic 2 Pro, that reputation is only enhanced once more.

Stunning footage; Great still photos; Obstacle avoidance is brilliant; Flight modes work really well; Super smooth flight - even in wind;

It's expensive; Remote requires phone to be plugged in; App is still not the most user friendly; Non-HDR shots can be grainy;
