Great Product
I bought this D-link router and so far it works great and meet my expectations. I set up this router on a home network that includes a desktop pc, 2 laptops, 2 smart phones, PS3 an IPad and Boxee device.

Excllent router
Router works great no issues at all. Very fast data transfer with the gigabit ports. Reason I got this one is because it was a reasonably priced top of the line AC router so I won't have to upgrade it for a long time even when AC compatible devices become standard.

This D-link AC wireless Dual Band Router works as advertised
On a PC with this the D-link DWA-182 dual band USB adapter in a USB 3.0 port, we get 866 Mbps on 11ac, on the 5 gHz band our N10 tablet hits 300 Mbps, on the 2.4 gHz band our N7 tablet hits 78 Mbps. No issues during installation and setup, including the cloud services.

Don't know why people are having problems with this unit. Mine is in a basement corner location and have 6 wireless devices and 6 wired devices to this unit through out a 2 story house and the signal is constantly strong, better than I thought it would be.

Read reviews and there will always be some good some negative
Read reviews and there will always be some good some negative. Do my research though and felt confident in buying this router. It worked great until the other day which was about 6 months after I purchased.

Streaming Router
The router kept up with connection speed while 3 smartphones, 1 Tablet and 1 laptop are connected. Excellent performance, router never crashes!

D-Links cloud configuration is a work in progress.
Pros:
- Is it faster than wireless N? Without a doubt
- Writing data to my NAS over wifi is twice as fast as it was previously...now I'm limited by the write speed of the NAS rather than the transmission speed.
Cons:
- Setting up the second unit as a bridge was not entirely simple
- and does not work exactly per the directions

Poor DLink Support
The router is easy to install and program. It is capable of being used to serve a web site up to the internet. Functionality is 5 star. However, MyDlink Support of the cloud portion of this router is nill to none. I have waited 38 days for a response to a login problem, and DLink will not answer me.
