The D-Link DIR-865L Wireless AC 1750 Dual Band Cloud Router makes a decent investment thanks to its cloud-based features, support for 802.11ac, and good performance on the 5GHz band.
The D-Link DIR-865L Wireless AC 1750 Dual Band Cloud Router offers good performance on the 5GHz band and can be easily managed via the Internet; using a browser or mobile device
The DIR-865L's performance on the 2.4GHz band and its network storage feature could be better.
D-Links cloud configuration is a work in progress.
Is it faster than wireless N? Without a doubt; Writing data to my NAS over wifi is twice as fast as it was previously...now I'm limited by the write speed of the NAS rather than the transmission speed.
Setting up the second unit as a bridge was not entirely simple; and does not work exactly per the directions
The D-Link Amplifi Cloud Router 5700 (DIR-865L) marks the advent of the company's entry into 802.11ac technology. Incredibly fast; Two good mobile apps; Four gigabit Ethernet ports
Old-school setup; No widgets; USB does not support printers

While we still await laptop, tablet and smartphone makers to jump on the bandwagon, there is no doubt the 802.11ac revolution is now well underway. Having seen next generation routers from three of the big four manufacturers (Netgear, Linksys and Buffalo) it is now left to D-Link to complete the...
Excellent 802.11ac & 802.11n 5GHz performance; Easy setup with useful Cloud accessibility; Bargain pricing
Poor 2.4GHz 802.11n performance; Unispiring design; mydlink Cloud platform basic at present
Also known as the Wireless AC 1750 Dual Band Cloud Router, the DIR-865L is D-Link's flagship 802.11ac model. You do get a lot of router for your money, and this is one of the cheaper 11ac options. See also: Group test: what's the best wireless router?
