This was an easy setup and little to no issues after setup as people have noted online. The dual band is very quick, though little to none in the AC band yet, found the N wireless is faster than previous router. Yes I would recommend this router.

On a PC with this the D-link DWA-182 dual band USB adapter in a USB 3.0 port, we get 866 Mbps on 11ac, on the 5 gHz band our N10 tablet hits 300 Mbps, on the 2.4 gHz band our N7 tablet hits 78 Mbps. No issues during installation and setup, including the cloud services.

I bought this D-link router and so far it works great and meet my expectations. I set up this router on a home network that includes a desktop pc, 2 laptops, 2 smart phones, PS3 an IPad and Boxee device.

With fragmented internet-based features and average performance, the D-Link DIR-865L Wireless AC 1750 Dual Band Cloud Router is a decent router for the money.

Offers good performance on the 5Ghz band; Can be easily managed via the internet; using a browser or mobile device

Performance on the 2.4Ghz band and its network storage feature could be better; Cloud-based features are limited and fragmented

6 hour and still half of home network down!! Never had so many issues. Setup windows did not work. Viewing window same, Had to get an old browser to view anything.

D-Links cloud configuration is a work in progress.

Is it faster than wireless N? Without a doubt; Writing data to my NAS over wifi is twice as fast as it was previously...now I'm limited by the write speed of the NAS rather than the transmission speed.

I bought this router because my DIR-665 simply wasn't up to snuff with all the devices I have in the house and streaming videos. For example, if I wanted to download at 60mbit/s~, I wouldn't be able to stream, which was just downright annoying.

The router is easy to install and program. It is capable of being used to serve a web site up to the internet. Functionality is 5 star. However, MyDlink Support of the cloud portion of this router is nill to none. I have waited 38 days for a response to a login problem, and DLink will not answer me.
