Decided to move on from my $20 sony headphones and get these ones. I was impressed with the quality of the sound they deliver especially since they're wireless. Haven't tested the full operating range but they get signal everywhere in my house.
compatible with all major gaming systems - wireless - battery life pretty good - cool voiceFX - bass is amazing - crisp sound overall - price
- none so far
After 5 months of use writing the review that the product is outstanding and the THX/Dolby/Scout sound and noise isolation are superb. The bass is warm and rich, better than the majority of headphones. Stands up to 8 continues hours of gaming.
If you are a gamer, one of the hard core brigade, then you will appreciate the need for the appropriate tools that have been specifically developed to fulfil certain tasks. You need to purchase or build the system box with high-end components such as the motherboard and graphics cards and boost its...
Creative knows a thing or two about sound cards, but does its audio expertise extend to headphones? Creative has done it tough over the last few years, as on-board audio took over from discrete sound solutions, crushing the company's main form of income.
Wireless headphones using 2.4GHz RF; 50mm neodysium drivers; Excellent bass response; Warm overall tone
Mid-tones can crunch a little; No surround for console owners
The build quality is average, but you do get a lot of features like wireless connectivity (don't ask me how many times my chair has smashed my headphones wire !), you get a built in sound card (because everyone knows how much onboard sound sucks) and you get those cool LED lights (come on!
Wireless functionality is well implemented; Good sound quality without any major flaws; Useful EQ options in the bundled software; Changing LED lights look cool; Bundled sound card
15 hour battery life is a bit short for avid gamers; Retail price in India is very high
Creative Labs have done work in the headset market before, but have not really made a huge mark. All that could change today with the new Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB model.
Love the headset, sound quality is good, but the boom cover never stays on. It can fall off easily and get lost. It falls off just setting the headset down Anyone getting this headset either have a way to keep boom cover on all the time, or know a place where you can get a replacement.
For the price the Tactic3D Rage delivers. The sound quality leagues above what you pay for it and the software bundled with it makes your experience highly customizable---and even comes with voice changing software integrated. As a person with a larger head I find them incredibly comfortable!
The Creative Labs Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Rage Wireless (note to company: can we have a shorter name next time, please?) is as good a headset as you could hope for with only 80 quid to spend.
Build quality; Wireless and 3D surround sound; Price
Lack of drama in its sound; 3D surround sound not precise; Dodgy Quick Start guide
