Creative Tactic3D Omega

Creative knows a thing or two about sound cards, but does its audio expertise extend to headphones? Creative has done it tough over the last few years, as on-board audio took over from discrete sound solutions, crushing the company's main form of income.

Wireless headphones using 2.4GHz RF; 50mm neodysium drivers; Excellent bass response; Warm overall tone

Mid-tones can crunch a little; No surround for console owners

I liked the idea of wireless

I was buying this mainly for the wireless. In some ways I still like the headset as I could anywhere in my 2000 sq ft house and still hear what was playing on my computer.

The wireless feature is truely awesome; This headset has decent sound, and awesome sound if you don't use a soundcard

This thing is not ideal for pc gamers who use soundcards; I was under the impression I would be able to use this with my asus essence stx, but I couldn't; This thing is full usb for pc gaming, which very dissappointing.

Unreliable + Driver Issues = Not worth your money or time

This is a great headset, if it was reliable, had good drivers and software. It doesn't, which is a shame because the sound quality is stellar otherwise.

5.. no 4... no 3 STARS. Good SB, Mediocre headset, Bad wireless.

By Engr. Jay Mendoza This product is actually a bundle of [Recon3d Sound Blaster] and [Tactic3D Omega Headset]. I did ask a lot from Creative before buying this particular "bundle".

the audio is fantastic asmuch as a 4

the audio is fantastic asmuch as a 4.5 star and even more fantastic considering it's wireless, the cans design is nice, the headband is where this set loses a star and a half in my oppinion, it's a molded band of plastic and can come to feel like a vice after a short period of time, the band tips...

Good headset BUT...

If your only audio device is a USB headset, buy this one without fear. It sounds very nice, is comfortable and my fiends said the mic sounds fine. Its also compatible with consoles and PC! ... and here is the BUT. If you use other sources of sound, you may need to think this through.

Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Omega Wireless headphones

If you're anything like us, then your gaming days are over and you now have to sneak in a quick blast of Gears 3 when the family has gone to bed. The trouble is, playing that late means you can't really turn up the volume and enjoy the visceral gunfire or high-pitched gear changes.

Sound; Comfortable; Well built

Still need wires for Xbox 360 setup; Large; quite expensive

worth it

Decided to move on from my $20 sony headphones and get these ones. I was impressed with the quality of the sound they deliver especially since they're wireless. Haven't tested the full operating range but they get signal everywhere in my house.

compatible with all major gaming systems - wireless - battery life pretty good - cool voiceFX - bass is amazing - crisp sound overall - price

- none so far

Creative SoundBlaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Gaming Headset Review

The build quality is average, but you do get a lot of features like wireless connectivity (don't ask me how many times my chair has smashed my headphones wire !), you get a built in sound card (because everyone knows how much onboard sound sucks) and you get those cool LED lights (come on!

Wireless functionality is well implemented; Good sound quality without any major flaws; Useful EQ options in the bundled software; Changing LED lights look cool; Bundled sound card

15 hour battery life is a bit short for avid gamers; Retail price in India is very high

Creative Labs have done work in the headset market before, but have not really made a huge mark. All that could change today with the new Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB model.
