Corsair Obsidian 450D

The Corsair 450D is the smallest of the Obsidian family, but it offers the same cool and clean look and a potent feature set at a price tag of 120 USD - which is 20 dollars less than the 550D, but 20 dollars more than the 350D. Is there enough room for the 450D to fill such a gap?

Corsair Obsidian 450D Mid-Tower Chassis Review

There is a lot to love about this case and very little I can find fault with. Actually, if I'm honest there isn't anything I found fault with, the whole thing is pretty perfect! It's not often I come across a product where there isn't at least one small detail that I wasn't happy with, but Corsair...

Corsair Obsidian Series 450D

For the past couple of years, Corsair has enjoyed success in the mid-tower chassis market with award-winning enclosures such as the Graphite Series 600T and Obsidian Series 650D. Both options continue to have plenty to offer, but the £140 price tag is overshadowing the company's earlier efforts.

Corsair's Obsidian Series 450D enclosure reviewed

I have a tendency to be somewhat cynical, so I'll admit that my eyes rolled when I heard that Corsair was adding yet another case to its Obsidian Series lineup. However, the 450D does fill an important gap between the 350D and 750D.

Corsair Obsidian Series 450D Performance Mid-Tower PC Case Review

The highly anticipated 450D mid-tower case is Corsair's latest addition to their top of the line Obsidian Series and is the first new Obsidian case to be released in 2014. The Obsidian 450D mid-tower enclosure is positioned between Corsair's 750D full-tower and 350D Micro-ATX enclosures and shares...

Very good case cooling options with support for liquid cooling; Two 140mm intake fans and one 120mm exhaust fan included (relatively quiet; Eight different case fan mounting locations; Three dust filters: easy to remove and washable; Support for multiple location and different size liquid cooling...

No external hot-swap 3.5" HDD bays; We miss the robust fit and finish of the classic 650D Mid-Tower enclosure

Originally, the Obsidian series cases were large full-towers, consistently developed as cases for extreme high-end hardware. The current culmination of this development was the Obsidian Series 900D: a double chamber case which could effortlessly accomodate HPTX motherboards, and even a powerful...

high cooling performance with three pre-assembled fans; four cooler spots; modular HDD/SSD cage; plus two 2.5" drive bays behind the mainboard; tool-free installation for expansion cards and all drive formats (2.5" only behind the tray; all three dust filters can be cleaned quickly; generously-sized...

noise level; material thickness not meeting the premium standards of the series; not enough space for some high-end tower coolers

Corsair Obsidian 450D Case Review

With the Obsidian 450D, Corsair attempted to fill the gap between the Micro-ATX 350D and the very large 750D of the same series with a mid-tower case of normal proportions. Yes, they already have half a dozen mid-tower cases available, such as the Graphite 230T and the Carbide 300R, but only the...

Corsair Obsidian 450D review

The Obsidian 450D completes the lineup really, it is not a chassis that is groundbreaking in new features. Contrary, it is more of the same yet in a different form-factor. From A to Z though the Obsidian 450D is a chassis within a well thought through concept.
