Corsair Gaming K65 RGB Review

It was bound to happen, when you think about it. Corsair has developed great software (called the Corsair Utility Engine) for configuring its gaming peripherals. It lets users build macros, define commands that are executed by timer, define dozens of shortcuts, and generate a host of dazzling light effects. All of this takes place within a fairly friendly interface, with good documentation for guidance. And much of this has been made available in a range of the company's mice and keyboards, in the latter case both mechanicals and rubber-dome models. Enter the tenkeyless keyboard. Tenkeyless boards are a fairly recent development on the peripheral scene, an answer to the question, "Can you give me a keyboard that takes into account cramped space, without sizing down the keys so I need the hands of a six-year-old to hit them accurately?" Tenkeyless models are just that: keyboards that eliminate the number pad on the right to gain back three or more inches in width. This kind of d...

This mechanical, tenkeyless keyboard is a gaming winner for those short on space. Its software lets you assign complex macros and elaborate lighting effects to any key, and gives you supreme control over game-specific profiles, too. It's worth the hefty outlay if you commit to harnessing it.

Corsair Utility Engine excels for heavy-duty key reassignment, macros, and lighting effects; Extreme per-key lighting, paired with mechanical switches; Rugged aluminum frame; Detachable palm rest; Excellent manual

Requires two USB ports if you've got only USB 2.0 ports available; No context-sensitive help in Corsair Utility Engine; No USB pass-through; Not cheap for a tenkeyless board

Corsair K65 RGB Mini Gaming Keyboard Review

Corsair’s getting in on the 60 percent keyboard gold rush. The $109 K65 RGB Mini, a pint-size refresh of the company's K65 TKL design, removes everything but the essentials to create a minimalist mechanical keyboard that's compact and portable. In a superficial sense, the K65 is a highly successful 60 percent adaptation. The keyboard is small, but the layout doesn’t feel compressed as compact designs sometimes do. At the same time, with a wave of 60 and 65 percent keyboards launching from major manufacturers this year, there’s no feature or component that makes the K65 Mini particularly noteworthy. It’s a solid, but ultimately bland choice in a keyboard category that’s heating up. Fewer Keys, More Room to Breathe First of all, we should point out that the K65 Mini is a 60 percent keyboard. It has 61 keys, which is actually just under 60 percent of a 104-key, full-size layout. To reach that point, the K65 removes the number pad, function row, editing keys, and navigation keys. I...

With the K65 RGB Mini, Corsair successfully shrinks its basic mechanical keyboard design down to 60 percent comfortably, but otherwise, it's a bit bland.

Compact, 60-percent design feels natural; Detachable USB-C cable; Cool fractal design on spacebar; Lets you create up to 50 onboard keyboard profiles

Lacks strong differentiating features; 8000Hz polling isn’t particularly helpful

Corsair K65 RGB Mini gaming keyboard review: Tiny but mighty

This mini gaming keyboard is a fantastic effort from Corsair with plenty of things to love about it. We question the lack of optical-mechanical switches considering the price but otherwise it's a fantastic bit of kit.

Impressive RGB lighting; Insane specs and customisation options; Standard bottom row layout allows for customisation;

Lacks optical keyswitch options;

Corsair Keyboard

It’s Okay. It works but the space bar sometimes doesn’t respond. There’s also no option to go left or right while typing which over time becomes frustrating. Otherwise the size is comfortable.

It's Good

I got this keyboard as it had stated that it has RED cherry mx switches, it does not they are the silver speed ones. I've read reviews about how you cannot move left to right easily...it is a 60% keyboard if you want to do that you're better off getting a 65-80% keyboard. You CAN use the arrow keys you just have to hold down the FN button. This keyboard is growing on me however I wish the details about the keyboard were correct with what type of switches it is.

Hollow Case

Although i like this keyboard due to its fantastic rgb aswell as cherry speed silvers one of the downsides is the hollow case, this causes the keys to make a pinging noise when fully pressed as the inside of the case is empty, though this can be fixed by adding foa
