This unit is ideal for SMB or home use. I realize that most home useres don't need an 8 port switch, but by the time I hooked up all my PC's, Access points (large house), and my NAS I was long since out of ports.

This switch is finicky and requires frequent restarts/resets to work as it should for a few days. Have removed it from service. This my 3rd one. The first one worked flawlessly for almost 4 years. Second died in about one year. It required several resets.

Original wireless router on the ground floor, with a laptop in a room on the second floor which was only showing two bars and the connection kept dropping. Bought this and put it in a room on the first floor, now the laptop shows five bars (needless to say the connection doesn't drop).

This is truly a plug and play switch. However, instead of calling it an 8-Port, I think it should be called a 7-Port as one of the ports has to be used for the incoming Ethernet so you actually have 7 ports available. But this switch has worked flawlessly on all 7 available ports.

I bought this to replace my old Cisco switch to help eliminate the network bottleneck on my DSL Modem. I am happy to report and my network perform better and I am really happy ..

This switch is definitely faster my prints sent to printer does not take as long even when the job is large. It was also easy to install.

I needed more ports than my cable modem has. This ethernet switch fit my need perfectly! The set-up only took a couple of minutes-basically plug it in to your modem, connect the devices and just like that you are in business! Very easy and hassle free set-up.

I owned this switch for over 1 year now and it has been working great. I never had to reboot or reset this device. I have TV, DVD Player, PS4 connect to this device due to limited # of port available on my router.
