Just Good...nothing exceptional!

The router seems good but no great enhancement of range. I guess the premium price is due to the brand. But I must say it's super easy to configure. Also, it's gives you option to configure guest WiFi just in case you don't want to share your passcode of the main connection.

Superquick router and easily upgradeable to an opensource firmware.

This linksys e2500 is a great router - its lightning quick and handles multiple connections. The range of the WIFI is also impressive. I have upgraded mine to an open source firmware (Tomato) as this allows me to use the unit with special VPN connections that are secure.

wicked

Very nice wifi router. Extremely easy to set up. Will setup using windows xp or higher. Glad I could change the goofy wifi name they automatically gave us and it was a steal for half price.

Had some trouble

The first router failed within two weeks and was replaced. I had problems with the communication between my lap top to the router to the printer. Our ISP left us out the cold to solve the problem on our own. The communication problem would recur every time my computer was shut down.

Linksys N600 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router - E2500

Quick shipping from Staples, easy installation. Works fine now, hopefully it'll last as long as the previous router which went for at least 6-8 yrs.

Defective

The router, through no fault of Office Max, was defective and I returned it to the store for a refund upon the recommendation of Belkin via their help line. Belkin replaced it with a Linksys EA6100 that is far superior to this model and it works very well.
Pros:
  • Design
  • Easy to Use
  • Features
  • Performance
  • value
Cons:
  • none
