Just like other users, we too have been enticed by the wide range of features this unit has to offer, but what particularly caught our attention was the increased maximum magnification that it offers.

Hard working legend!
We're wedding photographers and need gear which works all day without having to think about it. The 35mk2 is just such a tool and stays on our camera bodies for maybe 90% of each 9-11 hour day spent shooting.

The Canon EF 35mm f/1.4 USM L II is certainly an improvement over its predecessor but it's not a new world wonder either. Resolution-wise it is tack sharp in the image center. At f/2-f/2.8 it is pushing the 50mp sensor of Canon EOS 5Ds R to its limits.
