Terrible Experience - Not Recommended

After just 60 days of small office operation, we've had trouble with it not recognizing new cartridges and drum malfunction; drum now must be replaced. It's very noisy; I cannot use phone when it's printing.

Noisy; Unreliable

O'Brother am I Disappointed!

I suggest you put duck tape over the sensor before you replace a cartridge at great expense and waste. You'll know when to replace the cartridge when the print quality suffers.

This thing eats printer cartridges and shuts it self down and will not print; After purchasing $600 of printer cartridges I discovered via an internet search that the machine has bad toner sensors.

The machine shuts down and will not print without replacing the printer cartridges due to faulty sensors; You cannot remove and replace the sensors, shake the tray, reinsert and expect to continue; This thing shuts down cold even though there is no deterioration in print quality.

Takes alot of toner

It prints duplex but doesn't copy or scan duplex which is a big disadvantage.

It has turned out to be quite sufficient for our needs. It handles the printing quantity we use for our weekly tasks and has a high quality finish that makes our printed items look professional. In reality there are only a couple of items that I am less than satisfied with.

MFC-9460CDN CLR LASER P/S/C/F ENET 2400X600 128MB 25PPM

Won't buy from PC Nation again. Thought I was going to save some money and I didn't (my fault) paying attention to the shipping charges. Could have bought it cheaper locally!

Dependable and copies well and is easy to set up

Cartridge; belt and drum costs; they are very high

Brother MFC-9460CDN

The Brother MFC-9460CDN ($600 street) is a color laser MFP (multifunction printer) geared to small businesses, which offers decent speed and solid text and graphics quality. Its photo quality is weak, but if photo printing isn't a priority for your business, this MFP is well worth considering, as is...

Good speed and feature set; Solid text and graphics quality

Sub-par photo quality; No memory-card slots

Great All-in-one

Most things just work out of the box. Great quality and cost of ownership.

Pretty large and heavy. I have not been able to scan duplex. Nor have I been able to get OCR with anything but text.

Easy To Set Up; Easy To Use; Fast Print Time; Low toner consumption

Large Footprint; No OCR with PDF

Decent mid range printer

The printer is a breeze to set up and had it talking to my network of PC's and Mac's in next to no time. The scanner software is great, and the general functionality of the machine is easy to use and operate Print speed and quality is perfectly adequate for this price, coupled with separate...

I have been running this printer for 5 months in my home office under medium duty. Bottom line: I would buy it again. It has a few little quirks, my biggest beef with it is that it does curl paper a little bit. It is likely related to the heat output and roller path.

* Fast; * Reliable; * High quality text; * Scan to PC/PDF

* Less than fantastic drivers; * Paper curling; * Mailing envelope printing not great

Good Machine for the cost

Needed a laser printer for my small business. The printer is inexpensive to operate compared to most.
