I owned a brother printer for 11 yrs - only went through 2 things of toner. It finally stopped feeding paper after a long productive life. I realize things have changed, but I hope this one is here for the long haul! I loved my old brother!

I use printer for special jobs, when color and duplex are called for. Great: * Printer price, especially considering duplex color laser * Ink price, though I haven't bought. Based on internet pricing, high capacity cartridges will yield copies for about 7-8 cents per, almost half of competition.

It leaves tracks on the photo's it prints and when the ink is low, the pictures get very streaked.

Instructions for setting up using USB are simple and the printer works first time. Wireless set up is more complicated.

This well-featured colour laser printer is up to the task of everyday office use, producing good-quality text and images.

Excellent printer. When printing large jobs, the printer does run around 28-30ppm black & white. The only issue is the shallow depth of the paper catch tray, which after a large about of printing, will overflow. Making it deeper would be a great improvement.

This moderately priced color laser delivers very good text print quality and multipage print speeds for small or home offices. Graphics prints and first-page-out speeds were subpar, however.

In most respects the Brother HL-4570CDW colour laser printer is a good value.

A close cousin to the Brother HL-4150CDN ($400 street, 3 stars) that I reviewed earlier this year, the Brother HL-4570CDW ($500 street) offers faster speed and a wireless connection to justify the higher price.

The Brother HL-4570CDW is the next model up from the HL-4150CDN. The primary differences are that this model offers faster print speeds and the added convenience of Wi-Fi support. However, it's a good deal more expensive as it costs around £520 online, which is around £200 more than its sibling.

The HL-4570CDW may be quick to print and cheap to run, but its colour accuracy isn’t all that good and the £200 premium over the HL-4150CDN seems a bit excessive to us.
