Lackluster photo

This printer is fairly compact, fast, very energy efficient, silent in sleep mode and produces excellent printed pages. It supports duplex printing which is difficult to find in printers at this price range. It is easy to install/set-up and works well in wireless mode.

Overall, the HL-4570CDW impresses with its fast printing speed and low running costs. However, its colour accuracy isn't all that good, and despite its slightly faster print speed and the benefits of integrated Wi-Fi we think £200 is too much of a premium to pay over the more sensibly priced 4150...

We thought perhaps we could save on some photography when we unpacked Brother's HL-4570CDW workgroup colour laser printer, as it looks so similar to the HL-4150CDN we reviewed a few weeks back.

In most respects the Brother HL-4570CDW colour laser printer is a good value.

At the opposite end of the printing spectrum, the HL-4070CDW is the flagship single-function colour laser in Brother's latest generation of printers. It's a compact, almost cube-shaped package, pleasantly styled in dark gray and light beige.

This printer does the job. I am a low volume user and the printer did everything I needed it to do and some. Then all of sudden the printer stopped working. Customer Support at Brother came through for me. They told me where to take it and arranged for the repairs to be done.

On print jobs of approximately 600 or more pages, the printer may end the job before its completed, like around page 500 and something. Or it may start the job from page one again, without warning, right in the middle of the print job, and never make it to the end the first time around.

Somewhat complicated and confusing instructions for wireless setup.
