The buttons for all the various settings are intuitive, the dial is easy to use, including timer extension. The Door is soft closing, meaning it doesnt make a noise in the middle of the night - can your even able to silent the bell! - something i have never done on a microwave before. The silver finish fits in with the kitchen and simple features such as butter melting makes sure you have no more butter explosions and clean up that i have had to do in previous microwaves. The soften/melt features are great and simple to use - with butter, chocolate for all your favourite baking goods.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately My first breville smooth wave had an issue with the door not shutting properly. The top latch was faulty and it would get stuck. I took it back and got a replacement and so far have had no problems with the new one. I really like the ‘smart’ heating options they seem to work quite well. I like having actual buttons and knobs over a touchscreen. It’s user friendly I find it very intuitive to use. The soft close door is great I was always hopeless at closing the door with my old one. A gentle tap while I’m holding hot food is all this one needs. Overall I’m pretty happy it’s a great microwave!

High quality finish, soft close door and IQ cooking technology make it every mother’s dream for cooking, reheating and defrosting. The smart functions for fast reheat are intuitive and easy to use. I would give it 5 stars except the finger prints take a small amount of effort to clean from external silver aspects of the design! Obviously this is aesthetic only! I would never revert back to any other type of microwave - this is the future of microwaves in a very neat, clean and easy to use package. Highly recommended to others to enjoy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Breville Smooth Wave Microwave is certainly one to be considered when purchasing a microwave. The handy quick start menu is just that, super handy! No second guessing time when you’re trying to reheat that coffee you never got to whilst attending to children and washing as we do! I know my food is being reheated and cooked to the right temperature each time with the Element IQ Technology with no burnt or overheated rubber food! The soft close door was an impressive inclusion and one I’ve never had before on any microwave I’ve owned!

Our old microwave suddenly stopped working. We needed a replacement quick smart. Criteria? It needed to have an adjustable 'bing' sound - or even the possibility of silence. This one came up via Google. I was happy to see that it also had a soft close door... and dials instead of digital keypad. It was a bit more expensive - but for us, those three features are absolutely worth it, hence my high score. I LOVE this microwave. A note of caution re' its requirement for ample space either side and at rear (10 cm) and above (20cm). So, it's bing sound can be silenced completely. The silent door works silently 8 times out of 10 (sometimes doesn't work quite as smoothly, but its still much more silent than our old one) and it has incredibly intuitive controls.
