Bose has been thinking out of the box when it comes to audio design and quality. This time Bose has done it again with the Bose Soundlink Revolve, an omni-directional speaker. As the name suggests, the speaker is able to project sound in 360 degrees, and thus offer a great experience across the...

Bose SoundLink Revolve review: High-class Bluetooth audio
The Bose SoundLink Revolve is Bose's latest wireless speaker, but it isn't a trendsetter, it's a follower. It doesn't do anything particularly clever. It isn't a digital voice assistant and can't do the shopping for you. It's a Bluetooth speaker, no more, no less.
Pros:
- Compact and lightweight
- IPX4 shower resistant
- Great sound quality
Cons:
- Expensive
- Loses control at top volume

The most popular trend for wireless speaker fanatics is smart voice assistants right now, with the Amazon Echo, Google Home and Apple HomePod commanding a huge amount of attention. Is there any point in buying a speaker any more that can't answer questions, turn up the heating and tell jokes?

Bose SoundLink Revolve review
The Bose SoundLink Revolve is an excellent choice for those looking for a true 360-degree listening experience. Yes, it's expensive but it sounds great. The biggest issue is that the Revolve lacks dust and waterproofing which means that it's not the speaker you want to take with you to the beach.
Pros:
- True 360-degree sound
- Beautiful design and build
- Detailed and expansive sound
Cons:
- Only 30ft (10m) range
- Charging dock not included
- Not fully water or dust proof

Having trawled many reviews for different Bluetooth speakers, I plumped for this one because of the consistent good reviews and the quality of Bose speakers. It's worth every penny, such a rich sound and deep base and excellent sound quality in the garden, which is ultimately what I bought it for.
