Bose QuietControl 30

The QuietControl 30 is the biggest change in Bose's QuietComfort lineup since it first launched in 2013. It's such a significant change, in fact, that if you pay close attention, you'll notice it gets its own branding.

Unbeatable noise cancellation; Wireless connectivity; Solid audio performance with rich bass and crisp highs; Ambient mics allow you to monitor your surroundings

Neckband design is not for everyone; Expensive

Bose QuietControl 30 Review

Just missed the mark

Good ANC; Build and design

Price; Connection is sketchy

Bose first brought its active noise-cancellation technology to its earphones with its QuietComfort 20. Until then, ANC headphones were bulky affairs. The closest you'd get to compact was if they collapsed down small enough to be jammed into your carry-on bag. Not so the QC 20s.

Bose QuietControl 30 wireless headphones review: A nearly perfect set of active noise-cancelling earphones

These earphones would be perfect if there was to use them while their battery was dead.

Bose QuietControl 30 review: In-ear noise-cancelling doesn't get any better than this

Bose is one of those brand names that invokes a response from most consumers. They'll know first hand, or through others, that the name is synonymous with quality audio - especially those products with top notch noise-cancelling, such as the QuietComfort 35 on-ears.

Brilliant noise-cancelling; great sound quality; useful app

Design could be improved to make the neckband more balanced

Bose QuietControl 30

As alluded to by their name, Bose's QuietControl 30 headphones are the company's first active noise-cancelling headphones that give you granular control over the level of noise blocking.

Adjustable ANC for more situational awareness; Earbuds are very comfortable; Very portable

ANC performance not quite as good as alternatives; Collar design can be uncomfortable

Bose QC 30 review

When you think of noise-cancelling headphones you probably picture bulky over-ear cans like the Bose QuietComfort 35 s or the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless , but three years ago Bose turned its noise-cancelling chops to in-ear headphones, and the result was the excellent Bose QuietComfort 20i .

Too long latency for TV and movie watching.

These are nice when you are using them for music with the noise cancelling feature set to full or at least 3/4. However seems like the ambient sound are still processed when you set the cancelling function to 0.
