Best headphone for its price

Don't expect a complete noise cancellation but since additional bass has made the sound extra good many problem 700x was facing has being fixed. Very good for multiplayer games since it gives accurate spacial sound, easier to locate the enemy positions but make sure you have a very quite room to...

Get them, just not here.

I bought them in Harrods (London, UK) for a much cheaper price than here in Amazon. There they are 149 pounds. Cheaper than this and cheaper than the AD700X. Which is still much more expensive than they are in the US (where this cost barely 100 US dollars). I couldn't believe the price.

Audio-Technica ATH-AD900

I bought my pair on the used market, sold in the area by a very serious audio fan. I have waited one year of use to do this review. They were in perfect shape when bought and I got spoiled by the price, $80.00.

- Fair price; good build; not too heavy; the sound

- Sound stage can be altered if shifted too far on the ears

Female Vocal Songs Never Sounded so Alive

Coming from the ATH-M50X, headphones I have since returned after putting these on, the AD900X I have found to be the perfect set of open-back headphones under the $200 bracket for me. I listen for the most part to 70s rock, in particular female-led songs.

Audio-Technica ATH-AD900X Review

Audio-Technica's ATH-AD900X sits on the mid to upper end of their performance line. It is meant for those on a budget who are still serious about audio quality. I would consider them a second step up on the audiophile upgrade list.

Very nice headphones, but...

The biggest thing people seem to knock these 'phones for is "lack of bass." I wouldn't say they have a lack of bass, the bass is just more balanced with the mids and can sometimes be drown out by the highs.

Beautiful, crisp highs, well defined mids, fairly large sound-stage; Great for listening to acoustic guitar, vocally driven music, or anything with precise instrumentation; Pretty good fit and finish.

They aren't as comfortable as they could be, that's where they loose one egg. They want to sit on my head (which is probably larger than most; I wear a 60cm hat for reference) in a position that doesn't provide optimal acoustics. I find myself adjusting them fairly often.

Great Headphone Value

I've owned many headphones over the years & at one point in my life, I sold audio gear. These headphones fit over the ear, are very comfortable and have a very open, transparent sound. The bass is detailed, without boom. The critical midrange frequencies are very accurate - voices sound natural.

Audio-Technica ATH-AD900

YOU'LL NEVER BE TEMPTED to take this headphone on the bus. The earpieces of Audio-Technica's ATH-AD900 are huge, measuring about 4.5 inches in diameter and concealing a big 53mm driver. Unlike almost all other headphones, the ATH-AD900 does not have an adjustable band.

Spectacular cans with a low barrier to entry, the ATH-AD900s are a great first step to high-end audio.
