I'm not really a fan of the material they use on the cups. That's my only negative. The next pair I get I'll be making sure they're super comfortable.

These headphones are amazing, simply put. I had been researching headphones for over a month and these just seemed like the best quality for my price range and they certainly have lived up to my expectations. They deliver perfect sound and fit comfortably for hours.
To go along with my new iPod and new iPad I really wanted a pair of top quality Headphones. I was originally interested in the Beats by Dre brand but I was put off by their ridiculous price for what was essentially a well packaged pair of average headphones.
We've reviewed several pairs of Audio-Technica headphones over the past year and really enjoyed them. On paper, the ATH-AD700 look like they could be another winning set of cans from Audio-Technica, a highly reputable manufacturer of all things pro-sound.
Excellent midrange production; Accurate Bass; Well constructed; Long; 10ft cord
Ill-fitting and cumbersome; Aggressive; metallic sounding Highs; Won't fit directly into iPhone
Meet the ATH-AD700, an entry-level set of open-backed cans from Audio-Technica with a rather unique design. While they aren't the best-performing headphones we've seen from the Japanese headphone company, these are solid entry-level cans at a great price.
Yup, it's purple, and beige. It also has wings! Well those are for comfort; and homie, they are comfortable. When I received the Audio Technica AD700's, I chuckled a bit when I plugged it into my receiver for a movies/games test. I was thinking..
Specifications: Driver Diameter 53 mm Frequency Response 5 – 30,000 Hz Maximum Input Power 700 mW Sensitivity 100 dB/mW Impedance 38 ohms Cable 3.0 m (9.8') Build quality: These headphones are made of plastic which is to be expected at this price point.
Lightweight; detailed; spacious
Lacks bass; long nondetachable cable
lets see where to begin. certainly the most comfortable pair of headsets i have ever had. however that comes at a cost, as mentioned in cons it leaks sound. not just on the higher volumes either, if you can hear the sound, the people next to you can hear it also.
sound quality; comfort; good sturdy cord
leaks sound like crazy; not a headset for public use
These Audio Technica ATH-AD700X headphones are huge.
Spacious; open sound; Plenty of detail; Good dynamics; Clear sound; lightweight build; Flexible fit
A stubbornly hard treble; Could be more agile and precise; Bass needs to be tauter; Rivals are more musical and offer better grip
I bought this product as I was looking for some gaming and general use headphones with a large soundstage, and boy, am I happy with my choice. These open design headphones feel great on your head. They are extremely light and very comfortable with the velvet earpads.
