- Forward mid-range; speed (impulse response
- Lack of bass; short decay; not very clear-sounding; unnatural mid-range & soundstaging
I bought them mostly to listen music (folk/soft music) and play games. In both instances, the AD700 is up to the task. Sound is clear, very well defined. During gaming, the large sound stage is impressive. They are light and very comfortable. I read they don't provide a lot of bass.
The AD-2000 gains special distinction by providing high-end detail and being easy to drive without an amp. While the sound can be aggressive, there's not a hint of "bass boost"; to the contrary, the bass seems fully integrated into the overall sound.
