I use this product to burn photographs for my clients. It was extremely easy to setup on my Mac and it is exactly what I needed. Small, lightweight, compact, no power cord needed.

Can't really comment as to it's performance. I bought it to replace the internal ODD in my desktop and have the quick easy ability to move it to other systems if need be. Unfortunately the cord is extremely short and I have a Raven 3 case so the "back panel" is actually on the top.

I got this to give my tablet an optical drive. Works like I expected with no problems. It comes with the USB cable which says needs to be connected to 2 USB ports to operate properly. I only had one port to connect it to and it worked just fine for me although it says it needs two. Results may vary.

This product I could not use with my Macbook. Downloaded the software and tried to play movies and it was skipping and freezing the entire time. But my primary use was for burning CDs of pictures to give to clients and it was a fail. Ended up going with the Mac version! So much simplier and smooth.

some reason mine wont read dvd movies. and i havent seen my $5 rebate yet. runs a little slow also so i couldnt give it the stars it prob deserves

I got in a offer price. Then its definily worth buying. The brand and the quality speaks.Sleek and trendy. It could have been made a little more strong. Otherwise is perfect.

Good little unit. It works very well for both data and movies.

This is a great size, very portable, just plug and use. Good if your laptop doesn't have a DVD or CD slot and you need one. Saves you spending a lot more on buying a laptop with one included, when you may not use the DVD slot very often - get this instead!
