This product I could not use with my Macbook. Downloaded the software and tried to play movies and it was skipping and freezing the entire time. But my primary use was for burning CDs of pictures to give to clients and it was a fail. Ended up going with the Mac version! So much simplier and smooth.

I use this product to burn photographs for my clients. It was extremely easy to setup on my Mac and it is exactly what I needed. Small, lightweight, compact, no power cord needed.

Bought this 3 years ago, still works like a champ. I recently had to re-rip a bunch of DVDs (lost a drive on my media server), and this did the job well. It's a little noisy, but not too bad.

I had ordered 2 other products that I thought would read my Dvd's, without success. Thus, I was very pleased since this product did what I hoped for. The direction DVD didn't give very much info. It didn't tell how to connect, but luckily I knew.

some reason mine wont read dvd movies. and i havent seen my $5 rebate yet. runs a little slow also so i couldnt give it the stars it prob deserves

I got this to give my tablet an optical drive. Works like I expected with no problems. It comes with the USB cable which says needs to be connected to 2 USB ports to operate properly. I only had one port to connect it to and it worked just fine for me although it says it needs two. Results may vary.

Can't really comment as to it's performance. I bought it to replace the internal ODD in my desktop and have the quick easy ability to move it to other systems if need be. Unfortunately the cord is extremely short and I have a Raven 3 case so the "back panel" is actually on the top.
