Review: ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q Monitor

All and all I really enjoyed using this piece of tech from the Republic of Gamers line from ASUS. It made watching movies more enjoyable, and I even plugged in my Xbox One and spent hours just gaming. It felt like a huge improvement over my 42'' Samsung LED TV.

NVIDIA G-Sync; Good Size and Resolution; Beautiful; Easy To Operate

Pain To Construct; High Price Considering Competitors; Weak Sound

Asus ROG Swift PG348Q 34″ 3440×1440 IPS G-Sync Curved 100Hz Review

Kitguru Says: IPS? Check. Ultra-wide display? Check. G-Sync up to 100Hz? Check! All the ingredients are here for a great ultra-wide 21:9 gaming display. The Asus ROG Swift PG348Q is a stunning panel, but it is a pricey prospect.

Very funky; futuristic design and appearance; 100 Hz operation; with G-Sync support; Great picture quality

Menu system could be more complete; Expensive

A few years ago, the PC monitor was the least concern for anyone building their own custom PC – just slap on a 1080p display and you were good to go. But with the advancement of 4K displays, higher refresh rates, and more gaming features, PC monitors have become the center of the attention.

+ Sophisticated and sleek design; + Incredible image quality right out of the box; + OSD navigation is wonderful; + 100Hz + G-sync is a religious experience

- Expensive as hell; - Crappy speakers; - Only one HDMI port

Great Monitor with Horrible Quality Control

I'm on my second pg348q and will be exchanging this one as well. As mentioned in the cons, the quality control on this product is an absolute nightmare. The first monitor I bought was from another company due to their warranty and return policies.

-Colors are amazing; Great Real Estate; Games are very cinematic and look incredible

-Price -Backlight Bleed issues -Stuck pixels -Overall just horrible Quality control -Poor support for 21:9 by game devs (not a big deal if you are willing to research and fix all problems yourself for virtually every game

I had a 144hz 1440p non g-sync monitor and upgraded to this. Going from that to 100hz g-sync, you don't notice the difference that much and the size and quality make up for the drop in fps so much. You loose 44 fps but your gpu then puts that lost use of power into running almost 4k at 100hz.

Good product. Terrible customer servise. Never again.

Sucker lasted for a year then got dead pixels and lines going down the middle. Called customer service and setup an RMA. Sent the monitor in for repair then got it back a couple of weeks later with an email that nothing could be done and that the monitor was damaged and not covered by warranty.

Buy it on sale

This monitor is not worth the $1900 retail price, If you can pick it up on sale for $1500 or less, go for it. The stand and back style are either love it or hate it, I love it. I got mine during the Black Friday sale.

Awesome picture quality, ultrawide 1440p at 100Hz with g-sync on makes for an extremely smooth gaming experience; Only twitchy gamers will be able to really tell the difference in response rate and smoothness between this monitor and a 144Hz TN panel, while completely wasting the TN's in picture...

Price! But you are aware of the high price of these or you wouldn't be reading this; Has noticeable backlight bleed at all 4 corners, worse than I have seen on many monitors costing 1/10th the price, which is not acceptable on a monitor of this class and price.

I also purchased the dead pixel warranty with this monitor, since it;s running 4,953,600 pixels... I didn't want to take the chance. It appears that certain retailers receive better quality panels than others and NCIX is certainly receiving the better panels, as mine has no imperfections at all so...

Its 1440p; This IPS Monitor Gives great color representation; and deep; deep; blacks; right out of the box; The width of this panel is about as wide as it ever needs to be; in my opinion.

Built in FPS counter only works with G-Sync; The very large Included stand is a little tipsy to the front; it seems like just a little push from the rear could make this monitor fall right onto the keyboard; When using a VESA compatible mount the electrical connectors for the red ROG light in the...

Ultrawide are not for me

Here is a quick review after my initial test : Pros : - color rendering looked good (it's my first IPS panel) - backlight bleeding was very minor - gaming was immersive but GTX 1060 6GB could only deliver 60fps (compared to 90fps on 27inch 1440p) - the OSD (monitor menus) are the easiest I've used,...

ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q 34" UWQHD Nvidia G-Sync Curved Gaming Monitor , ( Last Demo Unit For clearance , no back order )

Awesome screen, you get what you pay for. The Design is impressive and image look good. i'm not able to use most of function on the menu and i don't know why, like 'turbo key', but probably because it's hooked to my laptop (ASUS ROG with gtx 770M).
