The Apple Watch Series 7 is an excellent smartwatch. It’s not the massive upgrade some were hoping for — but it doesn’t necessarily need to be. The larger display is nice, and I appreciate the efforts Apple is making to improve on charging.

If you're rocking an older Apple Watch or are interested in upgrading from the Apple Watch SE, the Series 7 is a great package.
Pros:
- Larger display looks great, Battery life is excellent, App Store remains unrivalled
Cons:
- Not a significant upgrade over the Series 6, Design is still similar to previous Apple Watches, Pricey

This new iterative smartwatch focuses on biking, and the battery life still stinks.
Pros:
- Bigger, beautiful display. New QWERTY keyboard to ditch texting on your phone. Faster charging. Updated algorithms, especially for biking. The usual full suite of health features. Seamless incorporation with Apple software and hardware.
Cons:
- Battery still barely lasts a full day. Not enough newness to convince me to upgrade.

The most important questions to ask about the new Apple Watch Series 7 aren’t about the Apple Watch Series 7, they’re about the Apple Watch you may already have.
Pros:
- Bigger display, Dust resistance, Multiple timers. Multiple timers. Timers: they contain multitudes.
Cons:
- Battery life only one day, Still no third-party watchfaces, No Qi charging

Apple Watch Series 7 (45MM) review
It’s worth pointing out that the Apple Watch isn’t just a watch. All a regular timepiece has to do is keep time, and maybe a couple of other functions. An Apple Watch (and every other smartwatch) will end up doing a whole lot more.
Pros:
- Great looking wearable, Easily one of the best screens for any smartwatch, Larger display helps to make the Apple Watch stand out and feel iconic, Excellent health set trickled over from the Series 6
Cons:
- Battery still struggles to hit a day, Still only works with the iPhone, Expensive, No major reason to upgrade: the only major differences between the S6 and the S7 are the screen size and a couple of new watch faces

Apple Watch Series 7 (45MM, Midnight) - Excellent review
Maybe we’re suckers for a design change, but the Apple Watch Series 7’s new screen leaves the Apple Watch SE eating dust, and the fast charging makes it a better smartwatch to live with. It’s a small change that won’t entice many upgrades from the Series 5/6.

With more screen real estate, improved durability, and faster charging, the Apple Watch Series 7 retains its crown as the best smartwatch on the market.

It might not be the redesign some had hoped for, but the larger display really makes a difference to the Apple Watch experience on offer – and improved charging speeds are a nice touch too.
Pros:
- Fast charging speeds, Noticeably larger display, A feature-packed software experience
Cons:
- Same 18-hour battery life, No new sensors

Despite appearances this is a pretty big leap for Apple Watch, and the new display is killer.

- Awesome larger display, Faster charging, All-day battery life, Always-on now brighter
Cons:
- No new health features, Limited upgrade over Series 6
