I bought this since my Macbook doesn't have a CD drive. The Apple super drive looks very sleek and works well. Only reason for giving it 4 stars is its high cost which is a downer.

Not As Fast As I'd Like

So hard to find a laptop with a disc drive do this was the perfect addition.

I purchased this optical drive to use with a new iMac 5K 27-inch Retina (2017) machine. While there were less expensive third party USB optical drives available for the Mac, I elected to purchase the Apple product to eliminate any possible compatibility issues.

I purchased this as a replacement for one just like it that was 6 years old. The previous one stopped working with DVD's & would eject them quickly, though CD's would still engage. I used another grand, as interim, but this one just works smoother.

Well designed and easy but needs a CD reader look like much it costs double the competitors' models

I got it and looked just like it said it would but I plugged it in and it wouldn't even turn on! I really don't recommend buying this from here.
