A newer model Apple AirPods 2 was released in April 2019.

Apple AirPods review: wireless that wows, earbuds that don't
One of the first criticisms lobbed at AirPods - even on the day they were announced - was how they seemed too easy to lose. So we have to start with the way AirPods fit, or don't fit, in your ears.- Great battery life
- Good sound
- Fixes some of Bluetooth's big problem
- Won't fit everyone's ears
- Open design lets in outside noise
- Awkward looks
Apple Airpods Review: Are they any good?
If you're looking to just listen to music, the Airpods are a good choice since the connection never drops. Just don't expect to get a great sound experience and be prepared to lose at least one.- Great connection
- Really portable
- Not the best fit
- Sound isn't great
Apple AirPods
The Apple AirPods haven't had the smoothest rollout . Finally available at year's end, the $159 cable-free wireless earphones now have plenty of competition. But where some competing models, like the Bragi Dash , are loaded with swipe and gesture controls, the AirPods simply use your voice and Siri...- Clear audio performance
- Seamlessly pairs with multiple iOS devices on the same iCloud account
- Carrying case doubles as backup battery
- Lack of ear canal seal means less bass response and potential ear-to-ear stereo image discrepancies
- Limited onboard controls virtually require you to use Siri
- In-ear fit could be more secure
Apple AirPods Review
Wireless headphones have been ripe for a reboot for years now, but no contenders for the crown have divided opinion quite like Apple's AirPods. Revealed alongside the iPhone 7, the fully-wireless earbuds were intended to salve the pain of losing the headphone jack.- Pairing and connecting process is best-in-class
- Solid battery life
- Convenience and speed of charging case
- Lightweight and comfortable
- Reliance on Siri
- Third-party music apps lack deep control Apple Music enjoys
- No "Find my AirPods" tracking system
- Audio quality on par with free EarPods
Apple AirPods review
When Apple announced that its new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus , the single biggest feature (or lack thereof) was the removal of the headphone jack. The future, Apple claimed, was wireless, and to that end they announced the AirPods, a pair of fully wireless Bluetooth earbuds that should be what our...
Apple AirPods
AirPods are the first completely wireless earphones from Apple, and they're sold as the perfect companion to the new iPhone 7 . - Great battery life
- W1 chip is the future of wireless headphones
- Sound quality not much better than average
- Don't fit in all ear types
- Design isn't for everyone

Apple Airpods White (2019) - Brand New review
While the negatives are still notable, the positives with the 2019 Apple AirPods are their saving graces: it’s the same sound with better connectivity, Siri integration, and more battery life.- Warm, relatively balanced sound, Decent volume, Rechargeable storage, Siri connection is a little easier to talk to
- Audio bleeds in and out due to earbud design, meaning you'll probably have to turn them up in transit, Controls need work and customisation, May not be comfortable for all, Android controls aren't customisable at all
Apple AirPods Review
The Apple AirPods feel like a big step for wireless in-ear audio—but it's more about innovations and features and less about audio performance. The Apple AirPods haven't had the smoothest rollout. Finally available at year's end, the $159 wire-free earphones now have plenty of competition. But where some competing models, like the Bragi Dash ( at Amazon) , are loaded with swipe and gesture controls, the AirPods simply use your voice and Siri—neither of which prove to be an ideal solution. From an audio standpoint, the AirPods offer decent bass response and crisp, clear highs, but would greatly benefit from creating an in-canal seal like most earphones do. Instead, you hear the outside world and get less low end than you might otherwise. But for the price, you're paying for a new technology, not top-of-the-line audio performance. Every product line needs a first generation, and while the AirPods don't feel like they're in beta, some simple improvements can greatly enhance the next iteration. Design When you compare the AirPods ($124.99 at Amazon) with the aforementioned Bragi Dash, the Samsung Gear IconX ($77.00 at Amazon)...- Clear audio performance
They're not cheap and battery life is only passable, but the Apple AirPods offer good audio and the convenience of no wires, Siri support and other handy features.
