It's SUPER light and portable. I love that it's touch screen and fast and comes with a stylus. I run all my GIS programmes, R and python programmes on it and so far so great.

The Acer Spin 5 is one of the best-buy convertibles available in stores, as an overall good product with an affordable price tag. There's more about it in our review .
nice look and solid build quality; good screen with pen support; good keyboard and trackpad; solid everyday use experience; 55 Wh battery; capable wireless and speakers; well priced
a little big and heavy for what it is; a few poor design choices and finishing problems; performance losses in demanding loads and games; runs hot under load
First time with Acer. Very stylish looks. Brushed, dark silver effect top, not too heavy and feels well made. The keys are lit underneath when you touch them. Keys are positive, touchpad is nice and responsive.
The Acer Spin 5 is a hybrid for the masses. It has a large screen but is not excessively heavy, is made of metal but is not intimidatingly expensive. And when not using its hybrid side it feels just like a normal laptop. There are issues, though. Its screen performs poorly in anything but “easy” indoors environments. The backlight is not bright enough and colour reproduction is muted. HP’s Envy-series rivals are a little more compelling. They have a little more character to their design and there are better options for gamers and are only slightly more expensive.
When making a decision on the Acer Spin 5, you'll have to decide whether its capable performance and solid battery life outweigh its, well, weight and bulk. We think the system's best bet is to play the value card, but we don't see it challenging the Lenovo Yoga 720 for Editors' Choice honors,...
Attractive aluminum design; Plenty of ports; Impressive battery life
Half-an-inch too big; Half-a-pound overweight

Acer's Spin 5 SP513-52N is a slim, classy 13.3-inch convertible laptop. The computer runs on a quad-core ULV processor. The CPU provides more than enough processing power for office and internet-related applications. A fast SSD ensures a fast running system.
IPS display; Full HD resolution; SSD; backlit keyboard; good battery life; optional stylus functionality; USB Type-C; battery can be charged over USB Type-C
display could be brighter; base unit could be more rigid
This thing is a beauty. It comes with a fingerprint reader on the touch pad and is full metal construction. The cover is fingerprint proof and is really really thin. The flipping is smooth and comes with a stylus pen with two pins. The setup is flawless and you can hear Cortana loud and clear.
