Does the job a little better than a smart phone.
Not really sure, always have it plugged in. eh gets tossed back and forth, literally. The Acer A100 Iconia tablet is a fair deal at around $120 new. It's no iPad, however it gets the job done. There are many pros and cons to consider when buying a tablet.

Acer Iconia Tab A100 review
Acer's Iconia Tab A100 has some great redeeming features in its dinky compact chassis. That said, even the cheaper price isn't enough of an added impetus to go out and buy it.
Pros:
- Compact build
- Affordable price
- Dual-core CPU
Cons:
- Battery life
- Storage
- Finger prints

Acer Iconia A100 Review
The Acer Iconia A100 is possibly an ideal tablet for someone who's dipped their toe into ereaders and wants to find out more about this whole tablet business. Tablet geeks will love it too for its solid design, Honeycomb OS and because it feels decidedly more mobile than some of its peers.
Pros:
- Android Honeycomb performs well on this tablet
- and the dual-core processor adds an extra kick
Cons:
- Seven inch tablets are an acquired taste
- so if you want a more meaty multimedia experience look to Samsung and Apple

Acer ICONIA Tab A100
bought this Acer ICONIA Tab A100 for my 3 years old son. He love it and play with it everyday. The tablet looks like new, everything work, except the battery drain pretty fast, with full charge it last about approximately 4 hours. But not bad for the price that I paid.

Great little tablet for a good price
Got this item because I thought they would sell out I'm not sure why it has not sold out yet, I've played around with some of the higher end Android tablet's and I have to say that acer puts out some of the best Android tablets.

Review and Deal: Acer Iconia A100 with Android 4.0 – $169 Shipped
eBay Daily Deals is re-offering the Acer Iconia A100 tablet. Unlike other 7-inch Tegra 2 tablets, like the Dell Streak 7, this tablet has received Android 4.0 officially. An official Android 4.0 update is crucial, as third-party ROM developers have struggled to make the jump from Android 2.0 or 3.0...

Acer ICONIA TAB A100 7" 8 GB Tablet Computer - Wi-Fi - NVIDIA Tegra 2
This tablet is everything you expect from a tablet that is top of its price range. However beware. The tablet i received only had half a gig of ram, not the full gig advertised. I am not returning it as I am Ok with 512megs, need a tablet, and got a great deal.

" Acer Iconia A100 "
A great tablet for the money! If your debating on whether to buy a kindle fire you need to spend the extra money and pick this one up. The home key is a little touchy but this thing is quick!

There are some gadgets that transcend their shortcomings to become objects of deep affection. For me the Iconia A100 is among them. For its generation, the CPU, GPU, and RAM are top-class. I LOVE the size. The screen is good.

The overall user experience remains the same while using Honeycomb as any other dual-core 1GHz tablet, that is to say that it's fairly quick. However, don't expect smooth transitions and snappy playback like iPad 2.
