I couldn't recommend buying one of these at this stage. I purchased mine on sale at around $60 after price matching and it came with a free $13 aluminum hard drive bracket. And this was at a time when SSDs were vastly more expensive than they currently are.

The 5 year warranty is pretty nice; If your experience should turn out to be anything like mine, you'll be making use of it; Seemed reasonably fast for being a 2.5 inch mechanical hard drive; Noticeably faster than the 5,400 RPM drive it had replaced.

It started dying approximately two years and one month from the day I purchased it; Currently up to 44 pending sectors and 456 read errors with more each week; Currently at 16,181 GB total reads, 12,837 GB total writes.

With my Reward-Zone points, I got this for >$60 delivered to my door, FAST! Installation was quick and painless. Everything fired right up and was recognized first try, after initialization I ran a few free tests on the drive and everything came back aces.

I upgraded my Dell XPS 1645 HDD with ease. I did a clean install of Windows 7 Pro and everything went well, not a single problem. This thing is fast and very quiet, did not think a 7200 RPM would be this quiet.

I used Acronis to clone my factory (500GB)drive in just 45 minutes to my new 750GB! Powered up and right away I noticed a big improvement in programs loading and powering up more quickly! I am very pleased with everything so far and the 5 year warranty was a real pleasure also, thank you Dell!

Anyone who has a laptop can attest to the fact that no matter how much space your harddrive has, it will always become full just as you need to download a video for work or rip one of your favorite CDs.
