If you're looking to upgrade your computer's main hard drive, the Transcend SSD720 is a strong option.
The SSD720's performance doesn't match that of its peers; and the included cloning software's functionality is limited

It came on time and is still working after almost a year of daily use. I am using it in an i5 laptop running Fedora Linux. The system runs several times faster than with the original hard disk.
great product, couldn't believe difference in boot time (lightning fast). would recommend to anyone who wants a good boost!!
Installed it in my late 2011 17" Macbook Pro (no adapters). The difference was noticeable. I can pretty much do anything in one bounce. I optimized the system for the SSD, and I know it's not a great idea, but I could not resist running some benchmarks. The numbers were a bit disappointing.
PS sorry fore bad spelling hope pepple under stand it lol
where to start fast my World of warcraft loads all most instintly to the pw screen loading it to the game wow like 3 times to 6 times farster if your tank or heeler this is a must lol can loag in much faster and som i did not expet it to do it cut my ram useg in 1/2 i got 4gb ddr3 ram i was maxed...
see if it last; if it last 6 years ill never go back to a plater drive agen but no cons so far
Its difficult to recommend this drive, considering Transcend is not providing the newer rev controller and the newer firmware. If you disregard that point, Samsung 840 is doing very well on almost all benchmarks, leaving aside the synthetic benchmarks with compressed data writes.

The Transcend SSD720 is relatively affordable and significantly outperforms any hard drive.

Transcend is a Taiwanese company specializing in memory and flash storage solutions. While Transcend may not be the first company that comes to mind about NAND flash, it has been in the industry since the late 80's.
We have already tested SSDs with second-generation SandForce controllers and 24nm Toggle Mode flash memory before and today's testing of Silicon Power Velox V60 and Transcend SSD720 drives didn't produce any surprises since they have the same hardware platform.
Not long ago Transcend released a pair of SSDs designed to take on the Team SandForce competition. Just like others before, Transcend went with the two tier strategy, toggle/synchronous at the top and asynchronous on the bottom.
