Tearaway Unfolded takes the enjoyable platformer from the PS Vita and makes it even better on the PS4. It might lose a little bit of its luster in the transition, mostly due to the two year timespan in between, but fans of Media Molecule's gaming style will find a lot to love here.

The Vita's plethora of control inputs were a perfect fit for Tearaway's ambitious ideas. Thankfully, the DualShock 4 performs admirably too, with the trackpad bearing much of the workload, which I'll tell you about soon enough.

You can't help but want to root for Tearaway. It's charming. It's fully realized. It's convinced and it's convincing. Tearaway's papercraft world-think origami, but with less folding-is so visually unique within the game space that, if anything even remotely tried to copy it, you'd have no choice...

Good game for everyone.

More than a mere HD remaster, Media Molecule has rebuilt its Vita classic with entirely new gameplay for the PlayStation 4.

PS Vita games that are ported to the PlayStation 4 make me very skeptical. Most ports are limited by the power of Sony's handheld system, so they have to add something extra to make them worthwhile.

From the same minds that created LittleBigPlanet, Tearaway takes players on a platforming adventure through a world crafted entirely of paper. Since many players missed the original Vita version of the game, Sony has given it a second chance with Tearaway Unfolded on the PS4.

Tearaway on PS Vita was an inventive, charming platformer and a proof of concept for Sony's handheld. The Vita became the game, and vice versa, for a magical union that remains one of the handheld's very best titles.

Tearaway: Unfolded is every bit as charming as its Vita counterpart. The additional content is imaginative and visually stunning, but comes at a price. The story’s pacing suffers due to the additional content by feeling a bit overwrought.
