From the same minds that created LittleBigPlanet, Tearaway takes players on a platforming adventure through a world crafted entirely of paper. Since many players missed the original Vita version of the game, Sony has given it a second chance with Tearaway Unfolded on the PS4.

Tearaway Unfolded begins with a barrage of meta commentary, as two bickering narrators lament the paucity of content out there, flipping through television channels and other forms of media before deciding to cede control to "the You" and to create something new.

Tearaway Unfolded takes the enjoyable platformer from the PS Vita and makes it even better on the PS4. It might lose a little bit of its luster in the transition, mostly due to the two year timespan in between, but fans of Media Molecule's gaming style will find a lot to love here.

Tearaway Unfolded is a lovely-looking game. As you might expect from the makers of LittleBigPlanet, it's a visually textural treat. Only rather than having the more fabric-based look and feel of LBP, this time out everything in this game from its characters to the scenery and backdrops looks like...

This game is extremely well done and one of the many must haves for the system. It uses every one of the Vita's features, such as rear TouchPad, cameras, and gyro/accelerometer in a non-gimmicky way that just flows with the rest of the gameplay.

The Vita's plethora of control inputs were a perfect fit for Tearaway's ambitious ideas. Thankfully, the DualShock 4 performs admirably too, with the trackpad bearing much of the workload, which I'll tell you about soon enough.
