Drops WiFi constantly

Despite mixed reviews, I decided to purchase this router. At first, it was great. Setup was easy and the interface is well-designed. I get great coverage across my 1500 sqft townhome, and it can keep up with my 300 mbps Internet speed over the 5GHz band.

I will get it again if needed

Worth it with 1.1 OS beta, Added some cool new stuff. I might pick up one more and connect a remote site. Will be testing the 3g backup as soon as telus sends me the device.

Great little router out of the box, I have been using it for 4 months; Had some problems getting some devices to connect to the 5 spectrum; Looks like the Beta for 1.1 fixes it; The OS has lots of promise so looking forward to that.

No 3rd Party project like a typical NAS; that should come soon

Synology Router RT1900ac, 3x3 MIMO, Dual core 1.0GHz CPU, 4x GbE LAN, 1x GbE WAN, 1x USB3.0 port, 1x SD Card slot

I wanted 'something' better than the Spark supplied router (Fibre connection). No instructions as to setup requirements supplied, and Spark were no help at all. Downloaded online manual. Tried Synology too, but they (obviously) have no knowledge of Spark requirements.

Synology is a company we know for their network-attached storage solutions. Over the years they

– Good overall performance; – Synology Router Manager is awesome; – USB 3.0 and SD card storage; – Easy to setup; – Price

– Write storage performance could be better; – Overall design is kind of plain

Synology RT1900AC Router Review

Synology Inc isn't your average start-up company that wants to make a name for itself into the networking world, not by a long shot, Synology is already highly established and most already are aware of its quite successful NAS product line.

Great Interface; Attractive Design; Acceptable WiFi Performance; Lots of Features; Including Dual WAN; Low Price Tag

Expected More in Terms of NAS Performance

Synology RT1900ac Wireless Router

Synology is widely known for its NAS products and has now decided to enter the router market with the RT1900ac Wi-Fi router, supporting transfers up to a total of 1900 Mbps. A very promising product with an advanced OS, it is also quite affordably priced.

Review: Synology RT1900ac

Synology is best known for its NAS products, which we regard very highly. Now it has entered the router market, which, given its networking expertise, makes perfect sense. The RT1900ac is what we'd call solid if unspectacular.

Happy So Far.

Would've been a five star review if it was not for problems with the USB storage device. I tried to Western Digital external USB hard drives that were listed on the compatibility list and neither were detected.

Synology Router RT1900ac

Best known for its network-attached storage (NAS) product line, Synology enters the router market with its Router RT1900ac ($149.99), and it's an impressive debut. This reasonably priced dual-band model delivered speedy performance in our throughput tests and is equipped with a nice selection of I/O...

Strong 5GHz throughput performance in testing; Reasonably priced; Solid feature set

Middling file-transfer performance; 2.4GHz range could be better
