War is Hell...especially when it involves Kinect...

We are always told how war is a living Hell, and to this day lots of games try delivering a top notch experience with the "Hell" factor. With that being said, the aforementioned "Hell" factor has been certainly put into place in Steel Battalion, but not in the way you might think.

Good idea but....

Have you ever come home and wanted to frustrate yourself by an Xbox game? Then this is your game. First off the concept of this game is quite good.

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor Review

It had been years since Sergeant Powers had piloted a vertical tank, but the scene seemed so familiar. The VT perched on its legs in regulation khaki camouflage, even the crew was regulation, the Italian-American with attitude that swore too much, the minority African-American that spoken nothing...

Good idea; Walking tanks are always fun on some level

Kinect features can be frustrating to operate, Controller/Kinect synergy doesn't work for the game, "Funny thing about America; No matter how far I walk, she'll always be underneath my feet" is actually a line in the game, Mechanical devices in the future might cause someone to say "steampunk

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor

Capcom has grown a glorious, glistening apple and it wants to give it to you. It spent so long making this apple sweet and tasty that it can't wait to see the look on your face as you bite into it. The problem is that it has pissed all over its hands before handing it over.

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor

No amount of heavy armor saves this one by Kent Sobey © 2012 Kent Sobey I've done the unthinkable by writing this review now. Why, you ask? Well because I haven't actually finished the game yet.

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor Review

I'm going to share with you a bit of the magic that happens behind the curtain in the land of GamingTrend. We don't always get to choose our games for review – they are sometimes provided, and as such we may be forced to slog through something that we'd rather not play.

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor

Clumsy, punishing yet utterly gripping

Cockpit view is the best kind of nightmare; Super-ambitious motion controls; Lovable; saveable crewmates

Face-smackingly; teeth-grindingly hard; Broken in places

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor

Its important to think about those high points when looking at Steel Battalion . If you look at it as an action game, then it falls at almost every hurdle. Aiming is jerky and hard, and the controls are too complex to engage in fast-paced combat.

but Kinect controls are clumsy at best. Need more distinction between movements

Game seemed promising, but Kinect controls are clumsy at best. Need more distinction between movements.
