Bought this in preparation to go to Florida next year, was going to buy a GoPro but reading reviews this camera came out top. Glad I did as camera is easy to use, has great accessories (the underwater housing will come particularly handy when swimming with the dolphins).

Good camera

Amazing, exceeded expectations by far, I would give it 6 stars if I could. After much agonising about this verses a GoPro, I eventually bought this in late 2015. It has been brilliant - although I notice the price has gone up quite a bit since then which may expose it to more competition today.

If you're an Arlo owner looking to expand you coverage, give this a try.

Awkward shape not ideal for limited space mounting

I use this camera professionally on numerous classic and exotic cars and it was chosen over the GoPro due to the image quality. At 4k however you do get an awful fish-eye effect which needs tweaking in post production.

Clearly aiming its sights at the GoPro Hero4 Black , Sony's FDR-X1000V is a tiny action cam that's capable of 4K recording. Just like the Hero4 Black, the FDR-X1000V can manage 4K (3,840x2,160) at up to 30fps.

Its menu system is rather fiddly, but the Sony FDR-X1000V is top-notch 4K action camera

I guessed I can rely all the time on Sony product, even I have a hard time on learning how to used it.

Had this camera only for a short time but can say with comfort that it's a amazing piece of kit. I use as a dash cam in my car and also at use on a selfish stick at my sons party.
