The Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Chroma Keyboard is a little like a variety box of chocolates. By way that in some areas it is simply brilliant and you can't get enough of it, then you get to the odd oversights likened to the horrible chewy toffee things that everyone leaves for someone else.

Mention that you're looking for a gaming keyboard on just about any Internet forum, and the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate ($140) is sure to come up. The Internet's appreciation for the BlackWidow Ultimate turns out to be completely justified.

Razer is always looking to redefine their products with new features. They've taken some of their previous popular products, made some improvements, and produced a better product than what they had.

Often, they do so make something already existing even better. This is exactly Razer's strategy, entering the market with their own type of switch. But the bar which Cherry have set is very high. Various models with different properties can currently be purchased.

Razer's BlackWidow Ultimate Keyboard is big, heavy, and in its own words, features "Clicky" keys - in its case, Clicky Keys made specifically by Razer itself. When I learned how to type, it was practically the dark ages.

The new Blackwidow Ultimate is marketed as a pretty package capable of revolutionising keyboard input in-game. However, the truth is, the world's greatest gamers would struggle to tell the difference between this keyboard and any other standard mechanical keyboard.
