I initially liked this camera in spite of its poor image quality and lack of low-light performance. But after one year of ownership I now regret my purchase. After fewer than (an estimated) 1,000 shutter activations the viewfinder is broken. It's as if it's misaligned.

When you go for the used ones be careful. I bought one that said used like new tested and fully functional. Looked great but flash never worked. Plus WOW. I have been using a Nikon dslr for years and decided to buy a point and shoot for a concert. I played with this thing allll day.

I've had my ZS50 for about eight months now, and I'm up over 8,000 shutter releases. It will fit into the front pockets on my shorts, but it usually lives in the handlebar bag on my bicycle, or the center console of the car. It's easy to always have it at hand.

Price is a little more than most cameras in its class.

Took this camera on a two week trip to the Canadian Rockies. This camera produced really excellent photos of our trip. Couldn't be happier. Decided to take a pocket camera this time instead something hanging around my neck. This camera provides pocket convenience and big camera photo quality.

Very nice compact camera with a great zoom, saves me taking my Panasonic micro 4/3 out with me. Casing a bit plasticky, but seems robust enough. Loads of good features and the image quality is much better than I expected.

I went to college and studied film photography. Digital; that will never catch on! My wife has just bought me the Panasonic TZ70 camera for my birthday. What an absolute gem. Simple to use and with so many features should you want them, you simply cannot take a bad 'snap'.

Superb quality pictures. Birthday present for my wife and she absolutely loves it. Still trying out the various settings and functions to find the most efficient way of using it but that doesn't matter - it works flawlessly (and automatically) straight out of the box.

This is my second Panasonic Lumix with this TZ70 replacing a TZ55 that I discovered didn't bounce! The camera has a quality Leica lense and the functions are all similar to my earlier model. Photography seems quicker with this model and the quality of photograph is excellent.
