For the most part, the reaction to the last few Need for Speed games was the same: "Why aren't they more like Need for Speed Most Wanted?" "Where are the cheesy cutscenes and the over-the-top cop chases?

Plenty of cop chases; Instantly join races with press of a button; Isn't long before you're driving a cool car

Lots of quirks and nagging gameplay issues; Emulates Most Wanted; but doesn't necessarily improve upon it; Story isn't much to get excited about; Frame rate renders game nearly unplayable at times

This Racer Has A Broken Speedometer

On a fundamental level, we don't need a whole lot of reasons to play a racing game. Mashing the gas and running from Johnny Law (or smashing into them at top speed) just comes naturally to most of us.

Need for Speed Undercover (PS3) Review

I admit it. I am a huge fan of Need for Speed. As a former Playstation 2 owner, I believe the entire series was good in the PS2. From Hot Pursuit 2, both Undergrounds and Most Wanted, the series was on a roll.

Need for Speed: Undercover

The name of the game in Undercover is open world driving and lots of it. Snuggling up to an international crime syndicate from the lowest small-time hack to the pinnacle of white collar crime, causing mayhem and winning races gets you noticed and pulling jobs gets you street cred.

Need for Speed: Undercover Review

Need for Speed has never looked likely to win a game of the year award, but for a long time it's been a fairly dependable series. You could more or less bank on EA delivering a fun arcade racer that didn't take itself too seriously, and because of this it's won a huge number of fans.

: With this new age of downloadable updates that bring the act of game patching to the console horde, it is only fair that our reviews reflect the product at hand in its current light.

Need for Speed Undercover (PS3)

Who on earth is this terrible game supposed to be for? The target audience certainly isn't gamers with next-generation systems whose frame of reference will be titles like Burnout Paradise , MotorStorm and the superlative Midnight Club: Los Angeles .
