NBA JAM (Xbox360)

When I think of jam, I think of strawberries and blueberries. Maybe some of you think of a garage session with guitars and drums. Others might think of getting that last bit of clothing into the cupboard before you squeeze it shut.

NBA Jam

Some things never change. Over a decade after Midway's arcade basketball franchise faded from the limelight, EA Canada have faithfully restored NBA Jam for a new generation. The latest installment does just about everything you'd expect from a Jam game, retaining the fast-paced, jittery brand of...

NBA Jam

Not only do we fondly remember playing the original NBA Jam on our SNES and MegaDrive, we also have warm fuzzy memories of pumping pennies into the coin-op on sticky Saturday afternoons (sandwiched between overpriced sessions of Laser Quest and pumping further pound coins into the Mortal Kombat...

NBA Jam

"Boom-shaka-laka!" "Slam-a-jamma!" and "He's on fire!" are all phrases that I'm sure you or someone around you would have used or heard. NBA Jam was the title that featured catchy catch phrases and 2-on-2 basketball action.

NBA Jam Review

NBA Jam just about deserves release as a proper boxed retail product, boasting a fairly hefty array of modes and other content. What's important is that it preserves the gameplay and spirit of the original games, giving it a nostalgic cachet that makes it almost irresistible, despite its...

NBA Jam: On Fire Edition

We feel bad for anyone who dropped $50 on last year's hollow NBA Jam resurrection , because even though it got a lot of core concepts right, the new On Fire Edition for Live Arcade is what we should've received in the first place - and for a fraction of the price, no less.

+ Polished presentation with great arcade gameplay that fixes last year's lousy A.I; + Plenty for the price; including online play

- You won't get a refund for the $50 you wasted on last year's version; ? Do you really want to play 90-plus games to get all the Gold medals

NBA Jam

I loved NBA Jam back in the day. From playing it in the arcades to playing it at home, I played quite a bit of this crazy arcade basketball. I do admit I am not the biggest NBA follower, but the arcade fan in me loved the two-on-two style of play.

A must get for NBA Jam Fans

NBA Jam is a great game for all ages. All the players look real to their counterparts and they are a couple of game modes that are fun. The online play sucks because everybody quits. There's also a rubber band effect in which is very annoying no matter the difficulty. If you're up by 15-30.

arcade fun

Big Head mode of the game, the ABA ball, and that announcer are all back, & play exactly as you remember them. Expect tons of trash-talk if you have four controllers, as this game is perfect for college living rooms or party dens.
