NBA Jam is one of my favorite games from my youth. Playing its brand of fast and fiery arcade basketball on my Super Nintendo and in the arcade was tough to beat back in the day, so it's with open arms that I welcome NBA Jam on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

A great arcade classic at a great price. Read the review about the timings and it simply down to be a numbskull. If you can't get past the simple tutorial then you probably have never heard of Basketball..............better than your usual foul ridden NBA games and without a doubt a party pleaser.

If you're a fan of the original from way back when or even if your new to the game you are going to spend hours playing this game. whether you're hunting the achievements or just battling it out with friends locally or online this is one of the best xbox live arcade sport games out there.

NBA Jam: On Fire Edition offers enhanced gameplay, updated rosters, new legends, and maintains the old-school, over-the-top feel of the original NBA Jam . If you love arcade-style basketball, NBA Jam: On Fire Edition is right up your alley and is worth the download.

Since we don't have any real NBA season of basketball to lean on right now (and judging by the behavioral patterns of both owners and players, we won't be getting one soon), we have to rely on other types of entertainment to get our fix.

The back cover of NBA JAM states: "BOOMSHAKALAKA IS BACK!" I tend to agree. NBA JAM brings back so many wonderful memories. Super monster dunks, steals, big heads, Tim Kitzrow's voice, and getting on fire have all returned thanks to EA Sports.
