One of the most difficult feats in the entertainment industry is producing something that appeals to younger children as well as adults. Pixar is the undisputed master of this, with such gems as The Incredibles and Monsters, Inc. to their credit.

Finally an arcade game that provides good old fashioned fun, without it trying to be too clever for its own good and this my friends is where Mini Ninjas begins. Set in the era of Feudal Japan, gamers are transformed into Hiro, a young Ninja who has been given the task of saving the world.
Considering IO Interactive's history with violent and adult themed games, one of the last things that springs to mind when the Danish developer is mentioned is family oriented adventure games featuring ultra cute, big-headed cartoon ninjas. Until now, that is.
Charming characters; nice visuals; funny foes
Repetitive gameplay; non-existent story; empty areas
Hiro is a terrible ninja. He's not particularly stealthy, he doesn't assassinate anyone, and he's a lousy shot with his shuriken. That'...
Charming characters and environments; New toys and characters introduced at a steady rate; Cute sound effects and catchy music
The world is sparse; Repetition sets in quite quickly; Tunes are recycled a little too often
Hitman creators IO Interactive return with the family-friendly action-adventure, Mini Ninjas
Welcome to Mini Ninjas, the cutest looking action-adventure you don't know squat about that's among the top five best games I've played this year. It may look like kid-stuff at a glance, which it is-Mini Ninjas is the first E-10+ action game to score big with our 8-10 review crew since Banjo on...
Not since I-Ninja a half-decade ago has there been an all-ages ninja game that delivered as enjoyable an experience as Mini Ninjas . It's a well-crafted action-adventure game that blends platforming, magic, show and long-range combat, magic, and stealth together seamlessly.
Mini Ninjas is not the best action game right now nor will it become one of those games that suddenly become a classic. This is a pretty lame hack-and-slash game and I really can not recommend it to either children or gamers in general.
Although ninjas enjoy swanning around in their pyjamas all day, they're generally regarded as tough-as-nails warriors, eternally loyal to their master and able to slice the nuts off a squirrel at fifty paces.
Fun; cartoony adventure; Kid-pleasing; Ninja Ninja
A little too simple; No co-op; Limited replayability
Prepare yourself for a Ninja adventure like you have never seen before! Join Hiro, the smallest hero on the biggest adventure, as he embarks on an epic and electrifying quest to restore harmony to a world on the brink of chaos.
