Test Mini Ninjas

Mini Ninjas

Welcome to Mini Ninjas, the cutest looking action-adventure you don't know squat about that's among the top five best games I've played this year. It may look like kid-stuff at a glance, which it is-Mini Ninjas is the first E-10+ action game to score big with our 8-10 review crew since Banjo on...

Mini Ninjas Review

And peaceful is a great way to describe this game. The music is calming and the gameplay is basic enough to not feel overly involved. Still, even though we were utterly captivated by our short stealthy friends, there's still a few niggles to speak of.

The stylized visuals; filled with lush sceneries; The simplistic yet highly addictive gameplay; The engaging dialogue and cutscenes

The lack of any co-op mode; The game's short length

Kids With Swords

Although ninjas enjoy swanning around in their pyjamas all day, they're generally regarded as tough-as-nails warriors, eternally loyal to their master and able to slice the nuts off a squirrel at fifty paces.

Fun; cartoony adventure; Kid-pleasing; Ninja Ninja

A little too simple; No co-op; Limited replayability

Mini Ninjas PS3 Review

Hitman and Kane & Lynch are two games that are aimed at mature audiences, thus it came as quite a shock to learn that developer, IO Interactive, were releasing a cute and cuddly game.

Mini Ninjas

What is it about a ninja that makes people want to dress as them for Halloween, take martial arts classes, or even play videogames based on them? Is it the cool outfit? Is it the fact that they traverse lush environments? Could it possibly be the weaponry?

Mini Ninjas

Yes, Mini Ninjas is indeed a game from Hitman and Kane & Lynch maker IO Interactive - the developer famed for garrotte wire and blood-soaked assassinations has gone and made a game for kids. Or is it?

Mini Ninjas

Finally an arcade game that provides good old fashioned fun, without it trying to be too clever for its own good and this my friends is where Mini Ninjas begins. Set in the era of Feudal Japan, gamers are transformed into Hiro, a young Ninja who has been given the task of saving the world.

Mini Ninjas Review

Ninjas are hard wired into our psyches as visual shorthand for cool. I mean, they hide in the shadows and throw shurikens . Make them mini, though, and wrap them in a Pixar-esque art style, and they become cool AND cute - a dangerous combination.
