Max Payne 3

It's safe to say that Max Payne 3 is a fantastic game and with a hefty single player and extensive multiplayer it will keep you entertained for hours and hours. The story is gripping and will have you wondering what happens next, and with the integration of crews to the multiplayer there is even...

Bullet Time is a ton of fun to use; The locales are beautiful and it feels very polished; Multiplayer is extensive and will keep you busy for a long time

Some fights can be a little overwhelming

Max Payne 3 Review

It's been almost 10 years since I last had a chat with my good friend, Max Payne. We were kindred spirits of the early noughties, almost inseparable in those early years. But a lot has changed in the world.

Solidly-paced story; Impressive visuals; Sterling soundtrack; Gang Wars

Matchmaking (online) desperately needs an overhaul; Epileptic fit inducing lighting effects during cut-scenes; Minor graphical glitches

Campaign is short but multiplayer is fun

Good thing they added multiplayer, arcade, and new york minute for replayability. If you're into multiplayer this is a must buy.

Max Payne 3

If 2003's Max Payne 2 was subtitled The Fall of Max Payne , then the long-awaited third game is The Near-Death Experience of Max Payne . Seriously, this is 12 hours with a broken shell of a man who's so far past the proverbial edge that he's practically undead.

+ Brutal, gory action; great writing; exciting set-pieces and scripted Bullet-Time moments, + Stellar production values; compelling multiplayer modes

? Would Max Payne and Sam Fisher make great drinking buddies?

Max Payne 3 review: Slick, bloody, beautiful... but not without its flaws

A slick, violent shooter, made with Rockstar's trademark style and panache. But it's marred by a lack of variety and an overlong story.

Ultra-polished shooter; packed with visceral; brutal shootouts; Looks beautiful; with outstanding attention to detail; Euphoria physics bring every firefight to life; Great multiplayer

Far too long - after 6-7 hours; you've seen everything it has to offer; Not enough depth to the combat; Feels a little one-note

Max Payne 3 is a glimpse into the future of video games (review)

Max Payne 3 was meant to be a new chapter in the life of the titular former NYPD detective, who left New York behind to become a bodyguard for Sao Paulo's richest family. But while publisher/developer Rockstar's attempt at a meaningful story may ultimately fall flat, its revolutionary method of...

A seamless interactive story Even in a game as seemingly pedestrian as Max Payne (story, shoot, story, shoot, story, shoot…), Rockstar has crafted a very technologically impressive experience; From the menu, the single-player story mode starts instantly, launching into the opening cutscene.

U sad, bro? Max Payne 3 is set eight years after the events of Max Payne 2, but it's been over a decade since thugs murdered Max's wife and child; Yet he can't; Stop; Talking; About; It.

Awesome

This game is awesome, it has great gameplay, a great story and the limited edition comes with awesome stuff! Only thing that sucks is at times ammo and painkillers are very limited and you tend to get pinned down. Other then that its great and totally worth it!

Max Payne 3 Review

I could have started this review with a cool film noire-esque intro. I could have pretended I was an undercover journalist on the beat, walking through a snow-covered New York strip wondering where my old pal, Max Payne, was.

Max Payne 3 Review

Like it or not, times change. When Max Payne last appeared in a game in 2003, he blasted his way through countless enemies with reckless abandon, aided by his signature ability to slow time and deal graceful death.

Tight; terrific gunplay intensified by bullet time and hard-hitting violence; Great writing; voice acting; and cutscene presentation; Detailed environments that get destroyed in spectacular fashion; Impactful sound design; Fun; chaotic multiplayer

Max's shootdodge maneuver is sometimes frustratingly ineffective
