After seven games, you'd think dynasty warriors would differ a bit. Well, if you've played some of them you'd know they barely change at all. It has taken 5 games to finally get DW to be available for online multiplayer.

Recently there was an interview with Akihiro Suzuki, lead producer at Omega Force. Surprisingly, he readily admitted that the Dynasty Warriors series hasn't changed much over the years and doubted that it ever would.

Dynasty Warriors games tend to strike the same nerve as Earth Defense Force 2017 and Deadly Premonition - they magically straddle the line between bad and campy, and an unquantifiable something makes them irresistible.

- Even its newest ideas are old; - The usual: boring; repetitive gameplay; ? Is it too early to nominate its intro cinematic for Best/Craziest/Most Insane of 2011?

A few new changes that have been a long time coming don’t improve the experience of what is yet another formulaic hack-and-slash; slightly nicer to look at, but ultimately as shallow and repetitive as ever.

I was eagerly awaiting this game ,I got it on the 18th,and played it that evening . . . ,The weapons are ridiculously huge,the sound effects aren't right and you don't get the sound of the battles as you approach the fray and some of the mosou attacks are laughable !

The Story mode has been almost completly over worked. There are no single musou story modes for several characters any longer there are only four different Story modes for each faction Shu, Wu, Wei and the new Jin.

Ok, this is Dynasty Warriors 7. Not 1, 2, 3, etc. Seven. That means you should be well aware of the game's tried and true gameplay of hacking and slashing at anything that moves until the level is over.
