I must admit, I was a bit sceptical to buy this. The reviews were 3/4 stars so I had to think about getting this. I've been playing this game for about three hours now and its really fun.

Ok, this is Dynasty Warriors 7. Not 1, 2, 3, etc. Seven. That means you should be well aware of the game's tried and true gameplay of hacking and slashing at anything that moves until the level is over.

Dynasty Warriors seven has a distinctive core of game design which carried over from the gnarled roots of its` forebears. U choose to play as pivotal protagonists and antagonists from the Romance Of The Three Kingdoms era then u sally forth to slay thousands of wizards, archers, & tough guys.

Graphics are not really good on Dynasty Warriors 7. Weapon choices are limited. Not too much improvements from the previous version.

After seven games, you'd think dynasty warriors would differ a bit. Well, if you've played some of them you'd know they barely change at all. It has taken 5 games to finally get DW to be available for online multiplayer.

This game is unlike any DW game ever made, instead of playing as a character through the campaign, you play as the Kingdom itself, this way they have you play all the characters of the faction in key moments that they made a difference.

It's pretty sad that professional reviewers don't even bother to properly play through the entirety of the DW7 campaign before criticizing the game on aspects that are present in all AAA games.

I was eagerly awaiting this game ,I got it on the 18th,and played it that evening . . . ,The weapons are ridiculously huge,the sound effects aren't right and you don't get the sound of the battles as you approach the fray and some of the mosou attacks are laughable !

The Story mode has been almost completly over worked. There are no single musou story modes for several characters any longer there are only four different Story modes for each faction Shu, Wu, Wei and the new Jin.
