I use these for birding. Without stabilization 12x is too long for me due to the way my hand shaking is amplified. But these give me a rock solid view. There is a little bit of visible chromatic aberration. Not enough to bother me.
Good Stabilization; Strong Construction
Chromatic Aberration

Remarkable
Cheap case
Canon are the world leaders and indeed pioneers in image stabilisation binoculars and this set of Canon 12x36 II IS Image stabilization binoculars has to be for me is one of the best pairs of binoculars in their range.
Used these on tour and safari across Namibia. Great binoculars. Would have liked 10x50 but too expensive however what these lack in power they make up for in pure useability. They are so light and compact that they are easy to hold steady in any event but with the IS button they are superb.
I purchased these for my husband because he likes to photograph water fowl and he loves the binoculars. Shipping was timely and I am very pleased with the product. Good choice to purchase for yourself or a gift.

Greatly improves the quality of observation
A touch heavy; and a bit unattractive; (only matters if you are a poseur)
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Close Focus; Quality Lenses; Strong Construction; Works Well With Glasses

As an experienced brider (bird watcher to some) I've owned some of the world's greastest optics, the type of European "alpha-glass" that top tour leaders wear with pride. I bought the Canon 12x36 almost 6 years ago based mostly on my respect for the Canon L lenses with internal stabilization that I...
