Apple iPhone SE Review
Apple's iPhone SE is the best 4-inch smartphone you can buy, period.
Pros:
- Just as powerful as the iPhone 6S
- Cheap for the specs
- Superb camera
- Cute
- retro design
- Easy to hold and use one-handed
Cons:
- 4-inch screen is really small
- Must pay extra $100 to get enough storage
- Selfie camera is low resolution

Apple iPhone SE
Apple's iPhone SE isn't initially impressive. As a hodgepodge of other iPhones without any new technology, it's hard to get too excited about it. Our thoughts leading up to the announcement were generally that this new iPhone would be a great iPhone for late upgraders.
Pros:
- A smaller, lighter iPhone
- Reasonably priced
- Users with smaller hands should find it easy to use
- Familiar 5s design is still an attractive winner
- Upgraded internals (A9, M9, 2GB of RAM) allow phone to leap past the iPhone 5s and compete with the iPhone 6/6 Plus - it's faster than you might...
Cons:
- Smaller phone means smaller display
- Not introducing any new technology
- No 128GB option, and we wouldn't recommend the base 16GB option to anyone at this point
- No 3D Touch
- Outdated FaceTime camera
- Onscreen keyboard harder to use for those with larger hands
- Slower Touch ID.

Apple iPhone SE
It's a sign of the times when a smartphone coming in at over ￡350 for the basic model is described as cheap. The iPhone SE isn't cheap, but it is the best value iPhone we've ever seen.
Pros:
- Small screen with powerful spec
- Strong camera
- Good battery life
Cons:
- Contrast could be better
- Audio lacks in dynamics and subtlety

Apple iPhone SE review – too small for most people
The iPhone SE is one of the best of the very few small phones still available. It would be a significant downgrade from an iPhone 6, isn't a quantum leap over the iPhone 5S and should only really be considered if size is the overriding factor.
Pros:
- one-day battery
- good rear camera
- decent screen
- easy to hold
- easy to fit in a pocket
- fits in existing iPhone 5 accessories
Cons:
- very small screen
- edges are hard on hands
- looks like an iPhone 5 or 5S
- selfie camera isn't great
- no expandable storage or removable battery

I really wanted to love the iPhone SE. From the moment it was announced I just knew it made sense. A compact iPhone with the best design the range has ever had, plus the very best performance and camera, should have made one hell of a handset.

The iPhone SE is armed with the same A9 processor and 2GB RAM found inside the iPhone 6s. It also has the same integrated M9 motion co-processor, which means you can use the "Hey Siri" voice prompt to activate Siri whenever you want.
Pros:
- Great benchmark performance
- Long battery life
- Relatively affordable for an iPhone
- Great rear camera
Cons:
- Looks exactly the same as the iPhone 5s
- Front camera not upgraded
- The iPhone SE should have been launched a year earlier
